Miraculous Phantom

Chapter 13

P.o.v. Marinette

I got to the cloud of akuma's and from afar it would have just looked like a giant purple cloud. They covered the majority of the city sky but even more so above the lock bridge where a river flowed underneath. At least since my yo-yo was magic, I could purify more than one of them at a time. "Time to de-evilize!" I opened my yo-yo and swung it around. I caught as many akumas as I could at a time. It almost seemed like they were never ending. What do I do? I don't think my lucky charm would work for this situation since only the yo-yo could purify them. Even if my lucky charm did work, I would only have a bit of time before I became Marinette again. Then wouldn't be able to change back until Tikki regained her energy, but I didn't have any snacks on me for her because I wasn't expecting to be gone long.

I continued to purify them but then I realized something....they were immediately turning back to akumas! "This doesn't make sense. They never turn back after I purify them." A figure emerged from the swarm of akumas. My eyes widened. There was no way...could it be?

"Oh Ladybug, what a pleasant surprise." Hawkmoth looked at her with a sneer. "Trying to stop my akumas I see. To bad your just one person."

"Hawkmoth! I may be one person but so are you. You might have the means to make your little helpers but I've held my own against them each and every time." I held my ground and did not let him intimidate me.

"Yes you have. Some of them were too much for just you though. You also have never fought me directly. I'm not one of things your so used to fighting. I am fully human. I'm not a victim or anything of the sort. I am the one who creates the monsters you fight." he said while walking backwards. Picking up boots he puts them on and then a metal suit covered his entire body. There was a helmet that had a clear glass face on it so you could see him, and it also looked form fitting. There was a little butterfly painted on the chest and it was painted purple as well. He still held his cane and walked back towards her.

"Oh, I also have a new toy I want to try out." he took his cane and unsheathed the sword that was hidden in it.

"Maybe but I do have edge on you. I know what your miraculous is and if I get that then you are powerless. We've also outsmarted you time and time again. This time will be no different. Also didn't you get the memo from your Kwami, The Ladybug and Cat miraculouses are the strongest of all the miraculouses."

"I am well aware of all the times you have messed up my plans. You might know what my miraculous is but I would not go into battle without covering it. It will do absolutely nothing to stop my plans. Besides there are three things that are different this time around. 1, I have someone helping me. 2, I have this suit of armor that you know nothing about, and last but not least 3, I know exactly who you are and tied up both of your parents next to a bomb that is going to explode in" he checks his wrist for a watch that isn't there. "About fifteen minutes." Hawkmoth just gave her an evil grin.

I wanted to scream at him. I wanted to ruin him once and for all. He might just be playing with me, trying to get me to panic and I wasn't going to give in. I looked him dead in the eyes. "So you came out of the shadows to do what exactly? Threaten me? If you do know my identity it shows that you never had the power to strike."

"Try to reassure yourself all you want. Your parents lives are at risk, and every second you're here talking to me is a second that could be spent saving them. To make things easier for you, it's at your house that the bomb is located." he said while walking right past her so he could go cause more destruction. "Oh and by the way, I came out of hiding so I could take over France. That's all."

Cliche as Alya would say. The one thing super villains always wanted was to take over the world, or a country. I wanted to make sure my parents were safe but I couldn't let Hawkmoth get away, nor could I let the akuma's run lose. I needed to get a hold of Chat or Danny but if I did Hawkmoth would get what he wants ...seeing me squirm. What to do? I got an idea. I opened my yo-yo as it could act as a cell phone and called Chat. It started ringing. "Pick up Chat!"

"See normally I would be thrilled that you are calling me and all bugaboo, but now's not really the best time seeing as I'm fighting off monsters and what I'm using to fight them with doubles as a phone." Chat said

"Sorry Chat but its an emergency. I need to you to call Danny and tell him to use his multiplying power. He needs to spread out over town and check out places for a bomb."She was careful not to say the specific place just in case Hawkmoth was trying to mess with her. I saw Chat open his mouth to ask something but I cut him off. "I can't answer questions. Just do as I ask and leave Hawkmoth to me!" Before he could say anything, I hung up and started attacking Hawkmoth.

Hawkmoth held up his sword and slashed at Ladybug.

I easily flipped backwards out of the way and threw my yo-yo string at his sword. It wrapped around and I tugged on it. It came flying out of his hands. I grabbed it. "Thanks for the present but I don't need it." I said as I dropped it into the river.

"Such a shame, if you had kept it, you could of stopped the bomb." he said. Then he points his arm up towards and his hand turned into the barrel of a blaster and it started to glow green.

"Aren't you forgetting something? Ladybugs are good luck. I don't need that to do anything." Danny would easily find a way and if he couldn't I'd have to defeat Hawkmoth quickly and use my lucky charm.

Danny was flying around all over the place he left Ember and Box Ghost to fight off the army of ghost. Hoping they could hold them off long enough. He had gotten a call from Chat explaining Ladybugs orders. He ran all over the place until finally coming to a stop in Marinette's place. He checked all around and could find nothing. Before he could leave, he felt a burning pain throughout his whole body. He wondered if his clones were alright.

"I see you got your little white haired friend to go and search for you. To bad he's dead now." he pulls out his phone and shows Ladybug a video of one of the Danny clones being impaled. So sad. "Well I guess you just got your friend killed." He shows two others get killed as well.

"I wouldn't count him out just yet." I threw my yo-yo wire around him and pulled it nice and tight. "Someone needs to go back to high school science class. Wire can cut certain metals, and that armor of yours is metal. Normally wire can only cut so much but in this case it's magic wire which means the wire won't be damaged and can cut through just about anything."

Hawkmoth finally let out a blast from his arm cannon.

I rolled out of the way of the blast and pulled on the wire making it tighten. Finally a crack started forming on one of his gauntlet's and broke apart. I grinned. "Everything has a weakness."

Hawkmoth stared at me in furry. "Don't think for a second that this means you won. This is only act one of a 3 act series!" he said while his akumas surrounded him and he vanished.

I stood there triumphantly. "Don't count on it." Now that he was gone. I needed to get to my house and check on my parents just in case.
