(42) New Guy?

Aph's POV

"Now Michael~" I look down at my son. "Say Mommy~" He looks at me confused for a moment, then turns to Jason. "Moma!" He says pointing to Jason. I can't help but laughs Jason's 'offended' face.
"I always knew I was the man in this relationship~" I giggle. When Michael's attention turns back on me I point to myself. "Moma~" I say. He leans forward and touches my chest. "Moma!" I smile at him and nod. "Yes, Moma~"

"Hey guys!" Katrina and Hye'Jin pop up out of no where. "Hey girls~" I say greeting them. "Mind if we take little Michael off your hands for a little bit?" Hope is written all over their faces, signed with a smile.
"Of course girls~!" I pick up my precious child and hand him over to Katrina. "Don't ye be worrin' Aphy, " She says. "We'll be takin' good care of 'im." I open my mouth to say something but Jason starts to talk before I can.
"Of course you girls will take good care of him~" He chuckles.
"You have been taking care of the boys for four years~" We all laugh. "We'll bring him back later." Hye'Jin says and they run off with Michael leaving a trail of giggles behind them.

One month. That's how long ago I had him. I would not have changed anything because I love my little boy. He already seems like he's a year old though. He's started to crawl and is even beginning to say a couple words. I guess his odd growth has to do with the fact that we feed him oil. I look up at the clock one hour 'til opening.
"One hour~!" I shout into the main party room.
During the day we let Michael roam around the restaurant to play with the other kids. We all make sure to keep a close eye on him though.

It's now ten minutes to open and the day time security guy hasn't come in yet. All of the cooks abandon other people are already here, but the security person isn't.
Suddenly the door opens and a man enters. He has brown hair and dark eyes with tons of bags under them.

New guy?

I glance over at the Toys on stage and see they're glaring daggers at him.

Do they know him?

I can see the fire behind their eyes as their gaze never breaks from the man until he is in his office.
He looked a little familiar, but I couldn't place it.
I couldn't even tell the color of his eyes. They just looked dark from where I am.
His uniform seemed to barely fit him even though he was wearing what looked like the smallest size.

Who is that man?

I can't put my finger on where I've seen those lifeless eyes with bags under them before.
Later I'm going to see why the Toys were starring at him so intensely.
I look down into the box and see Michael sitting there patiently as he waits for me to let him out.
"We open in two minutes baby~" I whisper and hold him in my arms, but in a way where no one outside of the box could see him.

The security guy then comes out of his office and walks over to the front door. He unlocks it letting in all of the little children.
I smile and quickly place Michael outside of my box before anyone can notice.
"Don't go to far~" I whisper to him. I know he can't really understand me. I just feel like he does at the same time.

"Marionette!" A little boy runs up to me cheering.
"Hi~" I sing. "What's your name~?" I ask.
"Johnny." He says.
"Well Johnny, what song would you like me to sing~?"
He thinks for a long moment before answering, "Can you sing Happy Birthday?" He asks.
I nod.
