Aphmau's POV

Darkness again.
It's always darkness.
Why no light?
The darkness begins to fade into a memory I have of me and Claire playing board games on Sunday nights with Dad.
Next, there's a memory of Dad and I playing basketball, or at least trying to, while Claire is sitting on the porch with her friends.
After that, there's just me sitting on the porch alone. I can tell that this is around the time that Dad stopped coming home.
Finally, it shows the day that Andy and Izzy were born.
That was a great day, but at the same time it was also sad.
James ended up leaving Claire and taking Izzy with him.
She was heartbroken, but still couldn't help but smile everytime she looked at that baby boy's sleeping face.
The memories come to a halt, stopping on one image.
It's of a photo that use to hang in our house a long time ago.
I'm surprised that I can still even remember it.
In the photo is Claire hugging our mother's legs while Dad holds me in his arms, my little arms trying to hug him.
I still can't remember what her face looked liked even while staring at this old picture.
Slowly, it fades away before the same memories begin to flash through my mind even faster than before. Each time it cycles through them they go faster.
My head starts to feel dizzy and everything begins to fade away while the talking in the memories turns to shouting, then screaming.
All at once it stops and a blinding, yet very dull, light fills my vision.
I also hear the sound of what seems like singing.

Jason's POV

I've been sitting in Parts And Service with Aphmau ever since the baby was born.
He was born about three or four days ago and sits on my lap as I lay my head next to Aph.
Little Michael plays with his toys that we got from the lost and found bin. Katrina really enjoys the boys and so do the others.
Katrina stands out of the dark corner with a smile plastered on her face. I know exactly what that means. She walks over to the small boy and leans down.
"Aye, Cap'in Michael! We be needin' your assistance over yonder in de catacombs." She tells him, making him giggle with delight.
"Cuptin Mikal is on da cawse Kat!" He says happily.
I chuckle as he tries to speak correctly.
Aph has been missing so much over the last four days.
Michael can now walk without falling over and is starting to say real words and sentences.
He looks about the size of a three or four year old and he's only three or four months old.
Since Aphmau hasn't been awake to name our little boy, the gone and done it myself.
I've named him Brandon.
Brandon starts to cry and I nearly fall out of the chair I'm sitting in. Fixing myself, I can hear Katrina start to giggle.
I shoot a glare at her.
"He startled me~" I say and start to rock him.
He doesn't stop crying.
"You not be doing it right." Katrina says, walking over to me with Michael in her arms.
"What do you mean~?" I ask.
"Switch." She says.
We then trade kids. She takes Brandon and I take Michael.
"Aunty Aphy likes da Sunshine song." She says.
I give her a questioning look when she starts to sing.

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine,
You make me happy,
When sky's are grey,
You'll never know just,
How much I love you,
So please don't take my sunshine away.

I smile and join her.

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine,
You make me happy,
When sky's are grey,
You'll never know just,
How much I love you,
So please don't take my sunshine away.

Out of nowhere I hear Aph's tired voice.

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine,

She coughs before smiling weakly and continuing.

You make me happy,
When sky's are grey,

Oil starts to run down my face as I squeeze her cold robotic hand.

You'll never know just,
How much I love you,

She coughs again.
I decide to join her for the last line as oil pours out of my eyes.

So please don't take my sunshine away.

Aph turns her head to look at me.
She doesn't says anything.
All she does is reach her hand up and wipe away the oil with her thumb with a small smile on her face. I hand Michael back to Katrina who smiles and walks back over to the others with the boys. I then put my hand over hers while it lingers on my cheek.
"You've been out for four days~"
I tell her.
She frowns.
"Michael can now walk without falling over every time he stands~" Her smile returns.

"He's also trying to speak real sentences~"
Aph goes to sit up but I push her back down.
"SF told me that if you were to wake up during hours, that you should rest until we close~"
She nods and lays her head back on the metal table.
"You okay~?" I ask.
She points to her throat.
"Does it hurt~?" She nods.
Getting up from my chair, I walk over to the high metal shelves and grab an oil can. I then walk back over and hand it to her.
"Maybe this'll help~" I say.
She takes the can from my hand and takes a long sip of the black substance.
"Better~?" I ask as she pulls the can away from her mouth.
She nods and continues to drink it until it's gone.
Out of nowhere, the door bursts open to show all of the toys along with Laurence, Andi, SF, and SB.
"I was informed that our sleeping beauty has awoken." SF says as she walks over to the table.
The second she sees that Aphmau's eyes are open she smiles.
"You had me worried there kid."
SF says as she lightly punches Aph on the shoulder.
"So~....rry~...." She manages to say.
"Don't speak. Your voice box might be messed up."
Aph nods and just lays there as the shadow girl begins to inspect her.
"Why are you still in Shadow form?" Andy asks.
SF looks down at herself before shrugging. She then continues on with whatever she's doing.
"Okay," She starts.
"Now I'm going to have to open up your throat so I can repair your voice box. You'll need to stay completely still or I could cut something and it'll be messed up forever." She tells her.
"Animatronic voice boxes are not as fragile as human ones, but they're pretty close. The only difference is that it's pretty much impossible to fix a human voice box."
SF pull out a wrench and screwdriver and gets to work on fixing Aph's voice box.

Thank god that's the only thing wrong.
