Aphmau's POV

Here we go again.
I lay on the metal table with everyone standing around me.
SF is shouting commands.
This time doesn't feel like the last two though.
I don't feel like I'm going to pass out, but like I'm floating.
Yes, I'm very much on pain, but it's almost like I can feel myself leaving my own body.

Aphmau, I need you to give me control.

Mari's words are nothing but a distant whisper to me.
I try to respond to her, but can't.
The pain as so overwhelming.
The lights in the room seem so bright.

Aphmau! Pay attention! Give me control, now!!

My vision is going blurry.
I smile.
I can picture it now; laying on a cloud with now worries.
I'd see Zenix.
Gene had killed him not too long after he and I escaped that lake.
I can picture his bright smile and red eyes.

Snap out of it!!!

I can feel Mari trying to take control; and I try to give it to her, but my body is numb.
This is what it felt like when I had that noose around my neck; when I kicked the chair away from me with my feet.

Aphmau!!!! I CAN'T HELP UNLESS YOU GIVE ME CONTROL!!!

She sound panicked.
I can feel someone slapping my face.
I can hear the faint yells of them all calling my name.
But none of it matters.
Then the pain intensifies.
I scream as my vision goes back to normal, I feel reconnected with myself again, I can no longer picture Zenix, the distant yelling is no longer distant.
I feel my vocal cords rip apart and everyone in the room holds their hands over their ears, except for SF.
Her hands are pressed firmly down on my chest as if to hold me, or something, down.
My loud scream comes to an abrupt end as I feel the final vocal cord rip apart.
The room falls silent.

The cry of a baby tears through the silence.
Looking over, I see SB holding the new member of the family.
"It's a girl." He smiles.
I return it.
SF removes her hands from my chest and backs away.
SB hands me my new child.
She has beautiful green eyes.

I wonder where she gets those from.

Everyone looks like they just witnessed a murder, which most of them have before.
"What~?" I ask weakly.
No one says anything.
Even SF stands there speechless.
I turn my head to see everyone at once.
After a moment, Jason steps forward.
"You're soul tried to leave the suit~"
My eyes go wide.

That's why SF had her hands on my chest, to keep it in the suit.
Was her touching my soul what caused me so much pain in that moment?

"O-oh~"
They all seem to calm down except for SF, who is being cradled in SB's arms.
"Is she okay~?" I ask.
SB shakes his head.
"The same thing happened with Jess. She thought either you or the baby wouldn't make it."
SF visibly flinches as he says that.

I'm glad you're okay.

I can feel Mari smiling.

Thanks.

My attention turns back to the small, innocent, little girl in my arms.
"What are you going to name her?" Joey asks.
I think for a moment.
"Elizabeth."

-~-Two•Days•Later-~-

The boys love their new sister.
Brandon looks about a year old now.
They're growing faster than any human child would.
"Don't worry," SF says.
She's been staying in Parts and Service with me to make sure I'm still okay.
"They'll age correctly when they start to eat normal human food and not oil." She reads my mind.
"I don't ever want to let them go~" I say, frowning.
They'll be going to live with my father soon.
They'll still be here all day whole he works, but he's only gonna have the day shift when he takes them in.
So I'll see them everyday.
But that isn't enough.
"I know." She says, holding my hand.
I hear a giggle come from the corner.
There sits Kat with Brandon and Andy with Elizabeth.
I smile.
"Tonight~" I suddenly say out of nowhere.
"Huh?" SF questions.
I hold up a finger as to tell her to hold on.

Mari?
Yes?
Can you make sure everything is okay with the suit?
I'd be more than happy to.

I wait a few seconds before continuing my conversation with SF.
"Tonight we get Jess out of here~"
I say.
"She deserves it and so do you and everyone else~ But right now we only have the tools to get her out of here~" She nods and smiles.
The door to Parts and Service opens.
"We're closing in a few minutes."
Laurence tells me.
I nod.

Everything seems to be going smoothly.

No problem Aphmau.

I stand up with SF and head out Parts and Service, waving the originals to follow with the kids.
They do.
I tap SF on the shoulder and nod.
She nods back, understanding what I mean, and turns into a shadow to get to the main party room faster; and fetch the souls we need.
As we enter the main party room, we see the last kid leave with their parents.
My dad looks the door before walking over to me.
"What's going on?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
I just smile.
"Oh no." He whispers, knowing that my smile can't mean anything good.

Mari?
Yes?
Why don't you take control for a bit.
Okay?

My smile never falters as I fade into my mind, leaving Jess with the suit to control.
