Chapter 6

" I KNEW IT!!!!!" Mak yelled.

"How do you know? I have barely talked to him."

"Exactly. Even though you've barely talked to him, you agreed to ride in his car and go to some stranger's house. Not to mention you totally forgot about me when he arrived. Did I even pop into your head at all during the time you were with him?"

I looked back at the floor ,ashamed. "No."

"Well, there's your proof." she said.

I plopped onto the bed, taking in all the informantion. "Who cares? It's just another school-girl crush. I'll get over it in like 2 weeks." I said matter-of-factly.

"Yeah. To be honest, you guys are nothing alike." Mak said.

"What!?! How?" I said.

"First, he is like punk-ish dude.." I started laughing.

" What?" Mak asked obvioualy confused.

"It's nothing. Just nothing

"Hey look, I've got to go now otherwise my parents will call the police thinking I'm doing drugs or something." she said chuckling.

"Okay. I"ll walk you out like a good person." I said still laughing.

When we got to the door, I waved as Mak pulled out of the drive way.

*next morning*

I woke up to my phone going off. I was still tired, but i sat up in bed and grabbed my phone anyway.

"Morning! Do you want to grab lunch today? -Luke<3

"Yeah. sure:)"

As I got ready for school, he kept texting me.

"Ummm..so where do you want to eat?"

"Anywhere's fine."

"Okay. Do you want to listen to my band again?"

"Uhh..yeah maybe soon."

"Cool:)"

"Hey, I gotta go now so bai<3"

"bye:("

He didn't seem like the type of person who texted hearts and smiley-faces, all the time but what did I know?

I took my seat in the middle of the classroom like last time.

And just like last time Luke sat in the seat next to me.

"Hey" he said.

"Hi" I said with a smile.

"Ummm..Uhh..so, uhh..about lunch? Umm..Do you know where you want to go?"

He was so flustered, and I kinda wanted to laugh but I didn't want him to feel bad.

"Yeah..What about burgers and fries?" I suggested.

"Cool, we can go to Nando's, ya know, it's a-"

"I know what Nando's is" I tell him.

"Oh yeah. Of course." he says. " Okay. So I'll pick you up at the parking lot." He says and I smile nodding.

Finally. it's lunch and I was starving.

After 4 hours of school, i needed to refuel.

I went to the school's parking lot where Luke said he would pick me up.

I waited and waited then finally-

I realized he wasn't coming.

I was right.
