Lea's POV
Falling.
That was the only thing I felt.
What I saw was different. I saw the night sky. All the stars twinkling and shining.
I saw rooms, some empty, others occupied with happy travelers.
I turned my head, and I saw the sun was about to rise, on the verge of coming out, a sliver of light coming from the horizon.
Then I stopped feeling. The falling sensation had stopped.
Was I dead? I looked around a bit. I could move. I pinched myself and I could feel the slight pain. I looked up and I saw the same sky I saw seconds ago.
"I don't understand....?" I whispered to myself.
I stood up and I was standing on the sidewalk. I walked down the street and turned back around. I went into the hotel and headed back to the roof.
I opened the door and Luke wasn't back yet. I wonder how long he's been gone.
"Lea?"
I faced the door and saw Luke in the doorframe.
"Your back!"
"Yeah. I am. But your not. "
"Excuse me? I've been here."
"No, you're not here."
"Luke? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. You're the one in the hospital bed."
"I'm standing right in front of you!"
Something snapped. Like the image right in front of me crackled like an old TV, then went back to normal.
"I wish I could've said something to before it happened. I shouldn't have left you. I'm so sorry....Maybe I wouldn't feel so much pain, knowing that you're not okay. I want you to know, I really, truly have fallen in love with you, Azalea." Luke said. But it was different. I couldn't move or speak now.
The image crackled again. But now it changed. I was looking at darkness.
"I love you, Azalea." I heard it with my ears. I opened my eyes. The brightness hurt so I started to squint.
I tried to talk. "I love you...Luke." It came out scratchy and deep. I saw him look at me, tears at his eyes.
"You finally came back."
He told me what happened while I was gone for the past 4 months.
I had finally woken up from the car crash.
