20 - Hidden Feelings

After a few days of Hoseok telling you that Yoongi and Taehyung weren't going to bother you anymore you were 100% he murdered them.

But actually trusting in his words you decided to go back to work and school and try to live your normal life again.

For the most part, surprisingly, everything slowly went back to normal.

However, you noticed that Jimin was avoiding you out of the blue. He wouldn't respond to your messages and when he did he replied in one word.

What're you doing today :D.
Do you want to hang out later?

No response... again.

You asked Namjoon and Jungkook if they noticed anything wrong with him lately but they were no help.

"Have you noticed Jimin's been avoiding me?" You look up from your food as you ask Hoseok writing down notes. He looks up to meet your eyes and cocks his head slightly in thought.

"I haven't really thought about it. I guess he's been closed off a little bit lately. I don't know why." He lies through his teeth.

"Oh. Thanks anyway, I'll see you at home." Without any other words you leave quickly as he waves. The possibilities clouding your mind as you try and think of what happened between the two of you to make him act this way.

"Jin! You never come out with us anymore."

"Because I actually have a girlfriend to go home to." He snickers at his single guy friends.

"That's low. But even so, it's not like you're married. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you went drinking for tonight." In all honesty after the whole "kidnapping thing" he could've used a normal night out with his friends.

"Jimin? What are you up to right now?" Hoseok asks over his phone.

"I'm with someone." The blonde puts slight emphasis on the last word.

"Again? Wow are you in... that stage of your life?" He jokes but it's not received well by his friend.

"You know we can't keep covering for you forever. She's really worried. Can you at least tell her you're okay or something?" He asks delicately.

"But I'm not."

"Baby who's on the phone? Come back to bed!" A girly yet whiny voice pleads in the back causing Hoseok to shake his head.

He knows it's not healthy for Jimin to avoid his feelings but he's not in any position to tell him not to.

"I just think you should at least consider-"

"You aren't in any place to tell me what I should and shouldn't be doing. Not when you're still friends with him."

He hangs up the phone before Hoseok could say goodbye, leaving the older at a loss for words.

The brunette pulls his phone from his ear and sighs.
