18 - Reunion

As the car comes to a full stop, you open your eyes but feel a weight on top of your head. You smile knowing what it is and gently shake your best friend awake.

Hoseok gets out and waits for both of you to follow. Jimin gets out and stumbles a bit as he starts walking only to be caught by Hoseok.

"Slow down a bit, Jimin."
"I'm fine. I'll be healed in a few h-"

You support his weight on the other side, he looks at your distressed expression with a hint of anger.

"Until then, be careful." You demand. He sighs and then allows you both to bring him up the stairs.

"Hoseok." You ask as you both settle Jimin down on the couch.

"Yeah?"

"Can... can you call the others? Let them know I'm safe? Please?" He calms seeing your expression and reaches into his pocket to fish out his phone.

"You call them." Smiling as he hands it over to you. Embracing him in a tight hug before you dial their numbers.

The excited shouts can be heard from over the phone.

"ON OUR WAY!"

Yoongi tosses Taehyung an ice pack which he catches smoothly.

"Are you sure you don't want to tell me what happened while I was gone?"

Taehyung refused to look him in the eye, wrapping his hand in gauze with difficulty. Yoongi scoffs then proceeds to help him, not talking anymore.

"So where's my present?" The bruised man gulps harshly which catches Yoongi's attention. He remembers that he didn't tell him what the present was then calms down.

"I lost it. I'm sorry, hyung." His expression is pitiful as he still refuses to make eye contact. "It's just a present Tae. Don't worry about it."

He flashes a reassuring gummy smile causing him to finally look up. "Cheer up. I'll make some food I already bought the ingredients." He can't bring himself to tell him what he's been up to.

You run into Namjoon and Jungkook's arms both of them embracing and lifting you up. All of you sobbing hysterically.

The sight cause Hoseok and Jimin burst into laughter.

They let you down and move aside to reveal Jin.

Not hesitating to jump and wrap your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. "BABY!" You don't wait to start attacking him with pecks all over his face and neck. He supports you laughing by holding up your thighs.

Everyone groans at the PDA except Jimin. He can't bring himself to look in your direction.

She's happy, that's all that matters.

Hoseok remembers what happened in the car and looks at Jimin with sorrowful eyes. This must kill him...

"Aye come one now."

"Fine fine."

You give him one last peck before hopping off.

They sat all around you as you sat on the couch. Looking at you like delicate piece of glass that's about to break.

"Guys, I'm fine really. He didn't do anything except annoy the shit out of me. The only thing that got to me was how much I missed you guys." You reassure them with a genuine smile before you're comforted by Jin tightening the grip on your hand.

"There's one thing still bothering me." They all listen closely, leaning in. "I didn't get to eat."

Remembering that they didn't either Jimin and Hoseok laugh. "I'll order the food, you guys wait out here." Everyone agrees and just start talking.

You tell them what happened to you and listened to what happened to them while you were away.

You underestimated how much you missed all of them and grip Jimin's hand, smiling a small warm smile. He looks at you and tightens the grip as his heart beats faster. You go back to listening to them.

"You're not going to ask about her?"

Taehyung says as he breaks the silence during dinner. Yoongi sighs.

"Taehyung... I think I might just let it go. I'm not going get a girl like her by forcing her to love me or some shit I thought about it a lot when I was away. She's just one girl." He says clearly.

"But hyung, you said-"

"Forget what I said and just drop it. I don't want to put you through all of this because I was interested in some girl. It's pathetic of both of us, so just... drop it. Please, Tae."

Shocked by his words he stares at him. His words sink in and he just nods. "Okay." He says.

After a few more minutes of the awkward tension Taehyung chuckles to himself.

"What?"

"Nothing. I got my ass beat at a Panda Express." Yoongi chokes on his food.

"WHAT?!" He starts laughing with the food in his mouth. "By who?!"

"Some punk who wanted what I had."

They both share each other's laughter and make jokes. Enjoying each other's company once again.

"I really missed you." Taehyung smiles as his laughter dies down.

Yoongi smiles back. "I missed you too."

For only tonight they agreed to sleepover at Hoseok's just to put their minds at ease.

BZZ  ZZ  ZZZ

Hoseok's phone vibrates on his nightstand causing him to wake up. His eyes adjust to the screen light and notices the caller ID and freezes before accepting the call.

"You can't expect me to just forgive you after what your friend did. Why are you calling me?" His tone cold.

"Woah Hobi. I just called you to let you know that I'm back, what happened with Taehyung?" The man wanting answers as to why his friend was acting so cold.

"I know you were in on it. You were both tracking her and your little wolf took her away for days. We were worried fucking sick. Don't call me."

And with that he hangs up the call, leaving Yoongi at a loss for words.

"Hyung? Why are you up s-" the tired man rubs his eyes before he's quickly pushed up against the wall by him.

His heart races at the sudden contact and the fury in his eyes and gulps.

"Do you want to tell me what the hell you were up to while I was gone Tae?!"
