"im taking it" Jack says looking up at his family. Jaeden, Georgie, Jacks mom, and Jaedens mom stood in front of him. they were all nervous and surprised.

"you sure Jack" his mom said to her son. "think this through okay? this is life changing.."

"yeah you are gonna leave everything behind and everyone" Jaedens mom spoke up. Jack sighed at his mom and aunt.

"im taking this scholarship to Washington mom" Jack said and his mom smiled hugging her little child. soon after Jaeden hugged Jack so proud of his cousin.

"im so happy! when do you have to go?" Jaeden asked and Jack sighed reading the letter more.

he had received a letter back home in California but since his dad is taking care of their house he saw it and sent it to Jack in Canada. the letter was a scholarship to Washington State a place Jack wasn't planning on going to go there. Yet he found himself wanting to go.

he can become who he wants to be and who he needs to be. he was excited and nervous for the future. his life was folding out and he felt comfortable on how its happening so fast. something felt wrong but he didn't pay much attention to it.

"right after graduation" Jack said looking up. "so in a week. god i need to start packing what time are we leaving tomorrow mom?"

yes, Jack was leaving after a month and a week living in Canada. his mother and him have been looking at houses and his mom found a perfect one. Jack might not be living there for a while but he loved it. it looked like a place he would live in. the house in California will be going to Jacks dad since his mom doesn't want to give up a place were Jack grew up in.

"tomorrow at two in the afternoon" she said smiling. Jack nodded thanking god it wasn't early im the morning.

"im gonna miss you" Jaeden said and Jack smiled.

"yeah me too" Georgie said and Jack hugged the younger. "you literally just laid on our couch or our guest room bed but im still gonna miss you. also all the drama you brought imma miss that."

"im not" Jaeden said and Jack laughed rolling his eyes.

"stop before i cry" Jack said and Jaeden chuckled at his younger cousin.

"do you plan on telling anyone?" Jaeden said and Jack shook his head. "why not?"

"i hate goodbyes" Jack said and Jaeden hummed. the thought of Jack leaving everyone without saying anything scared Jaeden.

"what about finn" Jaeden said and Jack looked down. Jack thought about finn when he read the letter. he thought about how it was all gonna go down and how the cards are gonna be played.

"we aren't dating.. he shouldn't know anything i dont want him to know" Jack said getting the letter and walking up stairs to start packing.

Jaeden sighed and looked at Jacks mother. she just shrugged with a weak smile and walked away with his mom to the living room.

*time jump to a week*

"Jack Dylan Grazer"

shouts were heard throughout the stadium cheering for him as he gets his diploma. he can hear his mom, aunts, and jaeden. a few other friends from the crowed or in the line to get their diploma.

Jack was nervous since in three days he is gonna move to washington to go to college. he was gonna leave his mom which made him sad but he knew Jaeden will visit his mom everyday. Jack sat back down after the long walk around waiting for the others.

name after name after name and finally they were done. they all stood up as the top students began her speech.

"we all been through torture and failure. high school was the peek of all of us finding each other. relationships and parties everyone would talk about. how the essay was due but never got around to it since sleeping was more needed" she said and everyone nodded laughing. "no matter what gender you identify as or your sexuality or race we all been through the same things. some worse than others. so its time to start a new life ahead of this. its time to celebrate what we did and how well we made it out! high school was hell but im sad on leaving it! i hope you all have a great life and i hope you all accomplish your goals!"

"thank you Whitney, now the class of 2022 stand" the all stood up happily. "i announce you all a graduates from Valley High school!"

everyone cheered happily with their friends. they all started to walk slowly to the exit to meet up with their family. Jack talked to some friends before leaving the gate to meet up with his parents and family members.

he was nervous and excited for whats to come. he feels his phone vibrate and sees that its jaeden texting him.

jaeden👑: turn around

so jack did and he smiled at the view. Jaeden stood there with flowers as his aunts and cousins were next to him. he looked around more to see Finn and Sophia there smiling at him. Jack ran to Finn hugging him and Finn laughed hugging back.

"congratulations shorty!" Finn said letting go of the hug. "i came last minute since the label was backed up on come backs but i made it!"

"i did too! hello?" Sophia said and Jack laughed and went to hug her. "how does it feel? you are an adult now!"

"no he isn't" his mom chimed in and pulled her son for a hug. Jack smiled hugging his mom back tightly. Finn stepped away to answer his phone call. "cant believe you are gonna leave to washington in a couple of days!"

"im gonna miss you jack" Jaeden said smiling. Jack smiled back with a sigh. the thought of leaving his family behind was scary.

"im gonna miss all of you guys too" Jack said with tears in his eyes. Sophia knew about his plans since she has been his best friend since the day they meant and when he pushed her off the couch.

Finn came back with a sigh and looked over to Sophia with a nod. she sighed as well and turned to Jack.

"we have to go but we'll see you soon right?" Sophia said smiling. "good luck Jack.."

"bye Jack ill see you when you guys move to canada! ill see you when you are back." Finn said waving bye and the two left.

"you haven't told him?" Jaeden said and Jack shook his head.

"ill be back to canada some day.." Jack said looking down. "no matter how long i am gone. ill find my way back to canada"

Jack looked up to see Finn laughing along with Sophia but all he could focus on was Finn. he missed him like no other but he knew he couldn't tell him that.

his world, his angel, and his life was gonna be further away from him. maybe thats how its supposed to play out or maybe the future had different plans for them both. either way Jack knew he was gonna see his Finn again.

"ill find my way back to finn."
