for the past month Finn had been going to work, finish classes online, and sleep. he would also eat if he wasn't too tried to. his dad chemo had started which only made him weaker. so Finn would go to work sometimes without his dad by his side.
Finn knew how to run the job easily since it was just a record label. all the mangers would go to him asking for something and him saying yes or no. he is good at decision making. so his dad completely trusted him with the job.
he was isolating himself from the outside world not talking to his friends. he even closed his window for Jaeden wont be able to climb in at two in the morning for they can talk about what's happening in their house holds. he felt bad but he knew it was for the best. he needed to focus on his family life and how he can support them.
his friends would try to come over asking for him but his mom would simply say that he is working or too busy. his parents grew worried about how antisocial their son was becoming again but they didn't question him. also his mom began to notice how Jack hasn't been around anymore. she knew something wasn't right.
"Finn.." his mom called out from the living room. he ran down stairs already changed out of his suit and into something more casual. he was gonna go out and get food for his family. "are you and jack okay?"
"w-what do you mean?" finn asked now nervous that his mom had found out.
"honey are you two broken up?" she said giving him a sad look and he looked down. he didn't want to remember what had happened. maybe thats why he had been working too hard. "come here.."
so finn ran to his mom hugging her and started to cry. he hated feeling this useless and he hated opening up to his feelings. he felt like he disappointed his mom since she liked jack even though she barley talked to him.

"Finn its okay relationships go through break ups.. you just need to think if he was really what you wanted rather than thinking if he was the one you needed" she said and Finn nodded letting go.
"imma go get the food now" he said and his mom giggled nodding.
he walked out of the house with the keys in his hand. he walks to the car unlocking it. he hears his name being called out so he turns to see who it is.
"Finn we haven't seen you i forever! i thought you moved.." Wyatt said as he had Jaeden under his arm. the rest of the group was in the front yard of Jaedens house with a blanket under them probably watching the stairs.
"yeah been busy.." Finn said opening the door.
"when you come back why don't you join us?" Sophia asked smiling but Finn shook his head turning down the offer.
"my family needs me but thanks guys" he said. "uh see you guys around.."
he then got into his car and drove off leaving everyone surprised. they didn't expect to get rejected by him.
"whats wrong with him" Chosen asked looking at Jaeden.
"i dont know i haven't talked to him in forever. he closed his window and the blinds. he wont even answer my text or even read them! something must be wrong" Jaeden said worried.
"is it because of the break up?" Millie asked and Jack stiffened. was he the cause of this? how Finn was separating from the group?
"i dont know.." Jaeden said with a sigh. "but maybe he is just too busy with work and school?"
"yeah maybe i miss him though" Sophia said and everyone nodded.
Jack excused himself from the group heading inside. he said he was gonna go get a hoodie since it was cold outside but really he was just gonna lock himself in his room that he has been staying at.
Jack wasn't the happy, loud, jokester he usually was. he was now the quiet and sad one and hardly ever spoke up now. he felt lost almost and he knew why. he didn't have Finn to help him back up on his feet again.
the break up was a mistake and Jack knew that but he thought it was for the best. sure Jack loves Finn with all his heart and tries to be the boyfriend Finn deserves to have but Jack couldn't handle how much he hurts Finn. like the time he cheated on him because he was too drunk to actually think. if it wasn't for the video his friends showed him then maybe Jack wouldn't remember what had happened that night with Ellie and the kiss.
Jack also thought Finn still needed to time to find himself without Jack being there to help him. cause what will happen if something terrible happens to Jack and Finn can't put himself back together? Jack wanted Finn to find his own happiness instead of depending on someone. he didn't want Finn to live thinking that he (jack) is the only person or thing that can make him happy.
also Jack was scared of how Finn had his whole life planned out from start to finish. how he would inherit his dads company earning billions. he didn't want people to think that he is only with Finn for his money. Jack wanted to be able to go to college and earn what he wants to be instead of letting Finn hand it to him on a silver platter.
so he broke it off thinking how it was good for the both of them but only to find out that it wasn't. Finn is now a workaholic and Jack was gloomy everyday of the week and probably until this whole mess clears up. (if it ever gets cleared up).
"I messed up" Jack said groaning as he throws himself on his bed. he knew his mistakes and knew he couldn't solve it just like that. so he thought back to all the times Finn had fix them.
how Finn solved all their problems even though it wasn't his fault. that gave Jack an idea.. a great one. he felt cheerful and hope had laid on him. so all he had to do was wait until tomorrow for everything could be solved.
