five years later

Finn got his drink and sat down near the big window. he opened his laptop logging in to it. with that he started typing the rest of the email he had started not too long ago. he sipped his drink slowly not wanting the taste of coffee to finish.

with a sigh he reread the email before sending it. he sat back slouching since his back hurts from sitting so stiff. he takes a sip of his drink and closed his eyes. the hot liquid gave him chills. the warmth of the cafe made Finn feel at ease. he made a self note to come here often when he is stressed.

"i see that things dont change. still wearing suits and drinking coffee?" Finn opened his eyes to be faced with a man. not just a man though.

his curly hair still stood out and his height definitely changed by five inches. his smile didn't though and Finn was glad. he still had his rose stained cheeks and his freckles kinda showed more than they did before. his body shape still fragile and skinny which wasn't much surprising.

"What are you doing here?" Finn asked surprised. the younger took a seat placing his drink on the table.

"i teach here now in the university" Jack said smiling. "i had moved down here a month ago but haven't really told anyone..."

"welcome back. how was school over there like? how was life over there?" Finn asked still starstruck at the fact Jack is there in front of him.

*flash back*

"what do you mean he isn't coming back" Finn asked Jaeden. his best friend didn't say anything just looked down. worry hit Finn and wondered what happened. was he dead? did something bad happened?

"he went to college in Washington Finn" Sophia came in. "he got a scholarship there so he took it.."

"oh" Finn played with his fingers. "well im happy for him"

tears formed in his eyes for a reason he didn't want to explain. he walked away back into his house not wanting to be around others. he heads to his room upstairs and quietly grabbed his phone.

he opened the app where they always messaged at and clicked on Jacks profile to send him a message on why he didn't say anything to him.

Jackgrazer is no longer a user.

Finn heart broke.

*back to present*

"um good i guess. a new experience and very good people over there. i learned a lot and glad i took the offer" Jack said and Finn hummed. "what about you hows the company?"

"good we are now the second best label. no more annoying kids that cant sing" Finn said and Jack laughed.

"and home life?" Jack asked and Finn smiled.

"well my parents are doing good. i dont know if i told you but my dad had cancer but he kicked its ass! Nick moved out no too long ago and i still live there helping my parents" Finn said smiling.

"why?" Jack said surprised looking at him.

"ever since some family issues i didn't want to leave my parents alone. specially since my dad retired and i want to help pay bills" Finn said.

"yeah of course" Jack said smiling. "so are you married?"

"oh god no" Finn said laughing. "after you i haven't dated anyone really. the group always tried to set me up but it never really worked out"
