CHAPTER 8

ALICE:

After a daylong work at surf spot, I reached home tired and weary.

I quickly had my dinner and went to sleep only to realize that my phone had 40 messages from 2 chats.

One was my school group and it had around 35 messages which I quickly read and skipped the unimportant discussions. All they would discuss about was their love- life, ex's crushes which I basically try to ignore my level best.

And the next 5 messages are from someone unexpected... I never saved his number. It was my new found friend in school and whom I spent most of my day with...

Hey YO! Thanks for today; I enjoyed your company and hoping for a great time ahead. Sleep well as we have 3 hours of chemistry ;)

I kept my phone for charging and tried to sleep.

He's sweet, not as jerk as I thought.

His words and thoughts flashed my mind...... From the English hour till the last one and the last part of our day the hug

I don't understand why he is coming to my mind often......

I tried to sleep, but I was unable to ...... I took my phone and took a look at the photo we took today after school ended.

"I look so dumbass and he's no match for me."

And I really felt asleep and I slept.

THE NEXT DAY:

Like every other day, my daily routine has begun and it has been going on pretty well.

The day order was 4 and we had 3 hours of chemistry for which I need to pick up energy. I am not that attentive in class but I score pretty well. I try my best to focus in class.

Surprisingly the class was pretty occupied and I couldn't find any place for myself. I called Chloe and asked about her absence. I came to know she's out of angel grove for some official work. So she won't be there for quite a few days.

I had no clue what to do and then someone closed my eyes with their hands. The touch was soft and I had no idea who it was. And she's back. She came as a surprise. CP's back. I was truly missing her yesterday and she's back after a small vacation. Three hours of chemistry, I had no idea, what would I do without anyone in class. Our teacher decided to use those 3 hours for practical classes. All of us were assigned different salts for identification.

As I got lead nitrate as my salt, I need to do the brown ring test twice and for that ferrous sulphate solution and dilute sulfuric acid should be added and few drops of concentrated sulfuric acid has to be added on the sides of the test tube.

As I did my first brown ring test, I kept my test tube at the stand. And I went to the counter for my second brown ring test I added all the required chemical compounds for that and I went to the counter where the concentrated acids were kept. The pinky diva was also there, sad story, that was the brat who pulled my hair on the first day of the college. She was mocking and trying to distract me,
