Lyricals POV

After passing through the 'new' skatepark we were now passing through nothing but trees and grass.

"So why do people go to the old one?", I asked.

"It's the vibe I guess. So many things have happened there and it's always just been like a thing y'know? I don't know there's something about the old and abandoned that isn't like the new and improved and we like it", Lucas spoke and I nodded understandingly.

"If you look a little closely at the trees you'll start to see the fairy lights in the branches. We had to put them there since the pathway was removed so people don't get lost during day or night", Lucas said.

"Why do they start here and not all the way?", I asked.

"We didn't want them too close to the new skatepark otherwise people from outside will see the lights when they turn on and it'll attract unwanted guest therefore causing havoc and probably resulting in the place being busted down", he shrugged.

"Understandable", I said.

We continued moving through and I began to hear music and laughter. The sound got louder and we were met with a wired fence that surrounded bleachers, decorated with dangling lightbulbs. We went through a hole in the fence. Antonio went through first and managed to fit his bike through while I crawled in second and then Lucas.

We began walking towards an open door that lead underneath the bleachers. It was dark but we kept walking and the music was louder but still muffled. At the end of the narrow hall we were walking through was another door. Lucas opened it and I was temporarily blinded by the sudden light. My eyes slowly adjusted.

The music and laughter was now loud and clear. The place had a mild smell of alcohol and deodorant lingering through the air but it wasn't bad. I couldn't help but smile and notice the place was filled with graffiti. The atmosphere was happy and careless. Everyone we passed were greeting the two boys in front of me as they walked and I followed.

We were walking towards a massive ramp which surprisingly had no graffiti on it whatsoever. They didn't go up it of course, they just walked on the outside of it until we stopped at another door. They opened it revealing a room.

It had a huge window, several vending machines, a ping pong table, a long couch and another door. I bet there's another 6 doors behind that as well.

All of Lucas's friends were on the couch along with some other boys who I assume were Antonio's friends. They all got up and began walking towards us.

"HEYYY", the all said in unison.

I saw Michael and he started walking towards me. He unexpectedly pulled me into a hug and I was sure I blushed.

"Hey! You came", he said as he put his arm around me. Lucas frowned at him and he shrugged.

"Sure did", I said with fake laughter.

They all started going out the door but I pulled back. I wanted to try find Alex first.

"You coming? We're going up the ramp", Lucas asked me.

"You guys go ahead. I'm gonna meet a friend here", I said. He gave me a curious look but continued out the door with all his friends leaving me behind with a guy who was drawing on the couch.
