"Why?"
"If you don't want to then—"
"I'll come but there's a problem."
"You don't know my address, right? You can search for my form in the teachers' office." informed Ji Eun before leaving.
"Miss Kang!"
"Oh, Jang Wooyoung..."
"Miss, can I find our class forms?"
"Why? Is there something you need?"
"I... need to change my parents emergency contact because they've changed their phone numbers."
"Both of them?"
"Just my mum." answered Wooyoung, scratching the back of his head.
Miss Kang sighed. "Go ahead, but don't take your time- I have a lot of things to do."
"Sure Miss!" Wooyoung shouted. He bowed aggressively then headed to a draw. The key was already in so he opened it and looked through the files.
"Lee... Lee...Lee...Ji Eun!" he said to himself. He copied down her address and scanned through her form.
"'Parental care'... none?" Wooyoung put back the the form and walked out talking to himself. "What does that mean? Lee Ji Eun has never mentioned anything about her being an orphan..."
Wooyoung was waiting outside the school gate to see if Ji Eun was coming. He soon reckoned she'd gone so he took a bus to the address he had copied from her form.
"What are you doing?"
"Jang Wooyoung? Go inside and help me get all my bags, okay?"
"Is that why you called me?"
"You said you wanted to help, so yeah."
"Sure then..."
"I'll drop you at the place you're going to."
"You can't! I mean... Ginger has been getting on my nerves lately so I do not want you to come with me."
"I understand. But, Ji Eun, do you not have parents?"
"How did you..?"
"It was on your form. So it's right I guess..."
"I'll get going now."
"Ji Eun-ah... Ji Eun! Lee Ji Eun! Wait!" The taxi drove away, not stopping even when Wooyoung screamed so loudly that the whole road could hear him.
Two slow weeks passed. Ji Eun and Wooyoung had become friends and grown a good bond but only behind other students' backs.
"I thought you were going to transfer..." mentioned Wooyoung, putting a small scoop of ice-cream in his mouth.
Ji Eun sighed, "I was going to but I don't think I can."
"Why is that?"
"I have quite a few family issues and—"
"You want to eat some food?" asked Wooyoung, changing the subject.
