Ji Eun sat alone in the corner of the library's storage room. People rarely came there and it was very quiet as it was further away from classrooms in the school.
"Need someone to lean on?" asked a voice.
Ji Eun looked up to see her one and only friend, Jang Wooyoung, standing at the door smiling, holding out a purple handkerchief. He sat next to Ji Eun and sighed. "I'm bad at comforting but I'll still try my best. Well firstly, I don't know how you feel because I've never been in a situation like this so..."
Ji Eun laughed through her tears "you're not going too well so far."
"Yeah... but I don't need to know how you feel, right?"
Ji Eun looked up at Wooyoung, raising her eyebrows.
"I can't see your face."
"Wooyoung, if you're asking to see my face then I'm s—"
"Let me finish!" interrupted Wooyoung, raising his voice. "I can't see your face but I know your facial expressions. I don't need to see your face to know what your expressions are. I don't need to see your face in order to know whether I like you or not."
Ji Eun sniffed. "Thanks Wooyoung..."
"If that's how it works, then I don't need to know how you feel in order for me to know of you're hurt."
"I know..."
"I know my friend Lee Ji Eun very well. I don't care about conclusions that people jump to because I know that my friend knows what is right and wrong and what she should and should't do."
Ji Eun held the handkerchief that Wooyoung gave to her. She wiped her eyes and sniffed again. "I'm happy to have a friend like you Jang Wooyoung."
"I don't want to be friends though..."
"Hmm?"
"I like you, Lee Ji Eun. I really like you!"
"What are you... Wait, what?"
Wooyoung held Ji Eun's hands. "I want to be with you forever. I want to pick you up when you fall, bring a smile to your face when you're dull, wipe your tears when you cry, encourage you when you're sick, tell you everything will be okay when you're sick."
"Why are you the only person who understands me?"
"Rhetorical question?"
Ji Eun leaned her head onto Wooyoung's shoulder. "It's just... I like you too."
"You three will be expelled for 2 weeks."
"Fine." said Sunny, rolling her eyes.
"Your parents will be called in too, Sunny."
"WHAT?!" she screamed, unfolding her arms. Sunny fell to her knees and begged Mr Hong to 'let it slide'.
"No. Maybe you should think about what you're dragging yourself into before doing it." Mr Hong stood up and picked up the three students' folders which contained everything about them. "You may leave now."
"Teacher!" called Sunny through her tears, "Please Mr Hong! I'm sorry, please forgive me! Please! MR HONG! Sor—"
"Stop it, Sunny. Nothing's going to change now so stop embarrassing yourself." stated Ginger.
