"He was taking too long!" laughed Ji Eun. "Anyway, let's eat!"

Two weeks later, there was an unexpected knock on the door.
"Open it, Wooyoung-ah!"
"Yeah." Wooyoung opened the door. He tried to smile even though it was quite obvious that he was confused. "Um, who are you?"
"Does Lee Ji Eun live here?"
"Ji Eun? Yes, she does, but may I ask who you are?"
Ji Eun came out of the room. "Who is i—? ...Mother..."
"Mother..?"mumbled Wooyoung. "Mother?! Oh, sorry! Please come in. Please take a seat."
"Mum, what are you doing here."
"Anything to drink?" asked Wooyoung.
"Black coffee would be great. No sugar please."
"Yes." smiled Wooyoung.
"Where's dad?" asked Ji Eun, raising her eyebrows.
"He's not with me."
"He still doesn't want to see me?"
"He can't come."
"Why? Is he too busy to see his only daughter that he hasn't seen in years?"
"He can see you but he won't ever come."
"What are you talking about, mother?"
"Your father is dead."
"W- What?"
"Mother, your coffee."
"Thank you— What did you call me?"
"Mother..."
"Wait a second..." Ji Eun's mum turned to Ji Eun "Here's a letter your father wrote for you not too long before he passed away. It's been 3 months... Read the letter alone in your room now while I find out who this man is."
"Sure..."
"Name?"
"Jang Wooyoung?"
"Relationship with out Ji Eun?"
"Fiancée."
"Fian—?!" Ji Eun's mum sighed. "How long have you been together?"
"Over 4 years."
"Religion?"
"Christian."
"Hmm... Me too. Ji Eun left because she converted. Um, future son-in-law," grinned Ji Eun's mum "are you planning on converting our Ji Eun?"
"Say 'covert her or else I'll kill you' and I still won't."
"Ugh, same as her kind. You won't be marrying my daughter!"
Wooyoung looked up at Ji Eun's mother with a straight face. "Excuse me, lady, that is something you don't decide."

"I tried to respect you but you're getting on my nerves? Speak nicely or don't speak to me!"
