The bright round moon beamed in the sky and the moonlight shone into the cell through the window where Leila sat at the corner, locked inside. She felt cold and weak as she had been tortured several times and chained inside.

It was getting difficult to heal without her wings. She went through several interrogations but remained quiet. She could not lie so it was safer to not speak. In the end, she passed out during one of the session due to numerous injuries.

She heard something hitting the poles of her cage so she looked up in that direction. One of the Guards in charge continued hitting the cell bars with his bat to get her attention. Guards are followers of Heads who act upon their orders.

"You need to go for your interrogation."

She got up and obediently followed him to the interrogating room. It was her last session. She just had to go through this for the last time. But it was going to be a difficult one since Pierre was the one responsible for questioning her.

"It's been such a long time, Leila. Or should I call you Angel?" He said while laughing in between his sentences.

Leila just stared at him with a blank face. She was not in the mood to take in his joke. He stopped and became serious when she was not responding.

"Let's get straight to the point. Where's Lucas?"

Leila remained silent just like Pierre expected it. He had observed all of the sessions and knew that she would keep quiet throughout the entire session but he was not going to let it end the same way. Not in his one.

"Never mind let me change the question. Where is the key to the door?"

It seemed like they had figured out where Lucas was hidden. Leila started to panic but managed to put on a poker face. His safety was her first priority. She should not make any mistake.

Again there was no response and it was starting to irritate him. Pierre was never patient and had bad temper. He stood up and walked towards her.

"You do know that he is labeled as victim. Nothing will happen if you tell us his whereabouts."

She knew he was sprouting nonsense just to get her speaking. She knew that the moment Lucas got caught; he would have no escape and be forced to do anything for them. She had been in Galax for way too long to know how things work.

"This is getting boring," he whined as he put on his fighting gear on his hand. He punched the table which cracked into half.

"How do we open the door?" He raised his voice as anger boiled inside him but Leila did not even bat an eye. She kept her mouth shut. And that was the last straw. Pierre had lost his control over his anger and punched Leila. His strength was too strong that she flew towards the wall. She coughed out blood as she dropped onto the floor.

He walked towards her and pulled her by the shirt.

"Willing to speak now?"

He believed it was about time for her to speak. But the reaction was not what he expected. He was shocked to find her...laughing.

She was indeed laughing like a mad person. It was the first time she had ever reacted. She looked at him in a mocking way. She actually found the situation amusing.
