Sinner's Confession

Chapter 17

When Leila travelled to the human world, she would research on the livings and the trends that were occurring. She had to keep track of such factors and report it back to the Heads. She would often purchase certain products as samples for further study. Her interest in watch started when she came across the first watch shop built on Earth.

It was during one of her journeys when she travelled as usual to buy materials for Tyler. Every time she went there, there were major changes made and it seemed like a new place each time.

The first thing that caught her eye was a shop which was similar to others but displayed unique products that she had never seen before which she later learned it as a watch.

Out of curiosity, she entered the shop and was amazed by the different types of watch that were displayed there. She had seen clocks but not the ones that had a small frame and a strap that could be worn on the wrist. It came in different size and designs. She observed the variety of choices available quietly until a clerk asked if she needed help.

Leila almost declined the offer but then she decided to request to learn how these watches are made. She knew it was not useful for Galaxians who could tell time based on instinct but she was curious to learn more.

The clerk told her that it might not be possible but she went to ask the owner of the shop anyways. Luckily, the owner allowed her to observe the creation of such watches.

"Would you like to make one?" the clerk offered.

Leila gave it a thought but declined politely. She was satisfied with just observing.

"Do you wish to purchase any?" Leila believed that it would not bring any harm in purchasing one so she went through the different collections. She purchased the one with brown leather strap.

As she was about to leave, she came across another watch that grabbed her attention. It was the watch with a black leather strap and gold frame. She thought it would look good on Tyler so she decided to buy that as well.

Leila arrived back at Galax but could not find Tyler anywhere. Tyler would usually wait for her at the return port but it had been long since he last picked her up.

She knew he would be busy building new infrastructures but she was still a bit disappointed to not find him there. She had been gone to the human world for a long time and noticed that a lot had changed in Galax.

She decided to teleport to where Tyler was to pass him his goods. Angels had the ability that all Galaxians envied and that was to be able to transport to anywhere upon their wish.

She arrived at the incomplete building which was piled with materials required for the latest project by Tyler.

"Leila! You are back!" Tyler exclaimed as he rushed towards her. She smiled and wiped off the dust on his face as he approached her.

"This is for you."

She gave him the bag which had the required materials that he requested and a box.

"What's this?"

He took the box out curiously and opened it to see an unfamiliar item inside. He looked at Leila puzzled.

"It's called a watch which can tell the time. Something new in human world. Although we can tell time easily, I thought it work as an accessory. I bought one as well.""

She held up her hand and showed him her watch which was wrapped around her wrist. Tyler was definitely amazed by it and wore it on his wrist as well.
