The United States has the largest number of serial killers in the world. The highest number of killers seem to live in California. ( Maybe all of those self-important psychopaths were convinced they could make it in Hollywood and become the next big star.) Believe it or not, the state of Maine has not had ANY serial killers living there in the 20th Century. Funny enough, Stephen King is from Maine, and a lot of his horror stories take place there.
