Chapter 17

Sorry to all you Sasuke Lovers out there but it seems that Gaara has won!

  I smiled, shaking my head slightly at Naruto and Inari, as we stood at the beginning of "The Great Naruto Bridge." I chuckled, "Naruto, Inari, we all know that both of you are crying! Come on, as much as I'd like to stay, we have to be back to the leaf by sunset," I smiled affectionately at the two.

  "The ginger does have a point," Eagle-sensei agreed.

  "All right, lets head out!" Kakashi-sensei ordered.

  We all smiled and waved as we walked onto the bridge, heading home.

"Ahh! It's good to be back," I smiled. We all went our separate ways, me heading to the Hokage's office to see about getting some new living arrangements and to drop off the mission report.

I knocked on the door, hearing a "come in" from the other side. I walked in confidently, and bowed, "Hokage-sama, I have Team 7's mission report, and I would like to discuss my living arrangements with you."

  "Very well," he took the mission report, "I had an apartment set up for you while you were away, all of your things have been moved. Here is your key, you'll be living in the same apartment building as Naruto, you're going to be neighbors."

 "Hai, Hokage-sama. Thank you."

  I skipped out of the room and into the streets, heading for my new apartment to drop off my bag and pick up some things. I took the stairs two at a time, jogging over to my new apartment. I opened the door, noting that I'd have to paint it when I got a chance, and tossed the bag onto the floor, flopping onto my queen sized bed, after a quick shower.

  I woke up the next morning, and changed into a purple tank top that reached to my bellybutton with a sleeveless fishnet shirt over it, and some tight, black short-shorts. I finished the look, putting up my hair in a high ponytail and slipping on blue fingerless gloves. I slipped on my skin-tight red arm and leg warmers to hold my weights in and jumped out my window, landing on the ground and starting to jog, as if I didn't just jump out a 4th story window, ignoring the startled looks sent my way.

  I turned on my ipod, listening to an old song, felling rather content at the moment. I turned a corner and the feeling instantly left, being replaced by anger at the sight before me. A boy in a cat suit had little Konahamaru by his neck. I. Was. Pissed.

  It looked like Naruto was about to shout something at him when he looked over cat-boy's shoulder, and fear clouded his face. A deadly aura surrounded me, hissing, I stalked over to the cat-boy, snatching his wrist in my iron grip. "What the hell do you think you're doing to Konahamaru?"

  He smirked, looking me up and down, "My, my, what do we have here?"

 I smirked, "Not interested. Why don't you go find a ball of yarn to play with some where and set the kid down like a good kitty? Hmmmm?"

  His eyes narrowed, "I don't think so, bitch," his hand tightened around Konahamaru's neck.

  Naruto's eyes widened, he whispered to Sakura, "He really shouldn't have said that."

  A sickly sweet smile on my face, "Fine, have it your way!" I dislocated his wrist, forcing him to drop the boy, and say a very naughty word.

  He growled, "Looks like I'm gonna have to teach you a lesson," he aimed a punch at my face, to which, of course, I dodged.

  'Heh! After fighting Eagle-sensei, this guy seems like a wimp!'

  He snatched Konahamaru off the ground,"Move again and he dies!" But as he said that, a little pebble smacked his hand and he let the boy go, again. I took this oportunity to hit his jaw with a chakra punch, making him land a few feet back.

   Then, turning around to face my teammates, I put on my pouty face, "I'm not a bitch, am I Naruto?"

    "Eh... of course not! Believe it!"

    "Sasuke?"

    "...Hn"

    I glared dangerously at him,"What's that supposed to mean duck-ass?" I hopped onto his branch.

    "............Hn"

    "I dare you to say that one more time, see what happens," I threatened.

    "...............................................hn"

    "GAH!!" I stopped mid lunge when kitty yelled,"Hey! We're still here you know!"

    "Oh, hey, I forgot you were there! Heh heh!" sheepishly scratching my head.

    He growled, ready to take a "thing" wrapped in bandages off his back. "Kankuro, stop, or I'll kill you."

    My head snapped to my right, startled to find a fellow red-head glaring at Kankuro. 'Heeyy! He's kinda cu- NO! BAD ANIKO!'  'Wait, where'd he- oh, he's over there! hehe!'   "Hey! You, with the gourd on your back!" yelled the Uchiha.

  He turned towards him, "What's your name?"

  He glared, "Gaara of the Sand, I am also interested in your name, and the girl's," his eyes flickered to mine for a moment.

  Sasuke smirked,"Sasuke Uchiha."

"Aniko Tenshi," I nodded my head as a hello.With that he tuned and left.

"Well that was certainly interesting," I smirked.

"Your last name is Tenshi? Cool! Believe it!" yelled Naruto

  "Yeah, just don't go around telling people my last name, okay?" I smiled.

  "I won't, believe it!"

  "Hn..."

  Glaring at the Uchiha, I took my leave, heading in a random direction. (A/N: I didn't forget about Sakura yelling at them and team 7 learning about the chunin exams, Aniko already knows about them so I didn't see a reason for her to hang around for that part. ^-^v) I sighed, plugging in my earphones again. I decided to go to the training grounds and work on some taijutsu.

  I started with the simple push-ups and curl-ups, moving onto jogging 60 laps before immediately attacking a log in front of me, throwing many punches and kicks. After about three hours of my relentless training, I decided to call it quits because this was supposed to be my day off.

  I flopped down under a shady tree, thinking of something to do. I knew what I wanted to do, but I don't really want to go to the hot springs by myself, and no way in hell was I going to  go with any of the girls form the academy, well, besides maybe Hinata, but she's training today. But that only leaves Eagle-sensei, and I bet she doesn't like that stuff, but I guess it's worth a shot.

Okay, I know this is short but I'll make it up to you, because Prodigious is going to write the next chapter with me and if you guys have read "He saved Me" by my Saphy then you know how long their chapters are(so far the longest has been 13 pages). So please don't kill me! Peace!
