  I stared at Eagle, bug-eyed.

  "What?" She scowled.

  "I-I just didn't think you'd want to go, and with me of all people!" I explained.

  "Do you want me to change my mind, Ginger?" she huffed.

  "No! Do you need to get anything before we go?" I asked, still slightly shocked.

"Just give me a second to get my wallet from my office." She teleported away, reappearing a few seconds later. "Let's go. And stop looking at me like that. I already know I'm impressive."

  I rolled my eyes, "I just didn't think you'd be the type to go to the hot springs, but I'm glad you are, because I didn't want to go by myself. I know some people would say I should have invited Sakura to 'get along better as teammates' but she's so annoying and she's probably too busy stalking Sasuke anyways." I started, trying to make some friendly conversation.

"Sakura is simply young. She'll figure things out eventually. I hope... Anyway, most of the girls here are a bit... insane. Tenten is sometimes bare-able, and Hinata isn't bad if you get her alone. There's a new girl from the Sand visiting for the exams who's not bad..." she trailed off. "Well, the girls your age anyway..."

  "Well, I was also going to invite TenTen and Hinata but they're both training today, figures almost all my friends are training on the one day I get off," I grumbled. "But, at least I have an epic ninja to hang out with! If you hadn't noticed, I didn't like you all that much at first, but, you're really starting to grow on me!" I gave her a closed-eyed smile and a peace sign.

  "Like a fungus?"

  "Eh... I was going for something more appealing, like a...vine full of pretty flowers... I think," I chuckled.

  "..." She gave me a concerned look. "Do I look like a vine full of pretty flowers to you?"

"Er, no not really," I frowned. "But, I was trying to give you a compliment," I huffed.

"Lesson number one: never compliment anyone if the compliment doesn't apply to them. It's like lying, which irritates most people," she said calmly.

"I wasn't trying to lie, and you are pretty, like a flower, but tough, like a mountain lion," I murmured thoughtfully.

  "...Hmmm... I guess I can live with that. So...."

  "So, we're here!" I smiled, looking up at the hot springs entrance.

  "Good. I could use a nice soak... Almost as good as a hot tub, except for all the naked old ladies..." she mumbled.

  "True, but I guess after a long mission, it's worth it, right?" I grinned, leading the way to the front desk.

  "Yes, considering there aren't any other springs around," she smiled slightly, following me.

  "Yeah..." I chuckled. We paid to get in and a lady at the front desk led us towards the women's locker room, where we changed on separate sides of a row of lockers.

  Wrapping my towel tightly around my body, I walked to the door leading to the hot springs, Eagle was there waiting for me. "Let's go," I smiled.

  "Mmhmm."

  We walked over to an empty corner, slipping into the hot water with dual sighs.

"Mmmmmm, this is just what I needed," I sighed contentedly into the hot water. Eagle gave a nod in response, blissfully sinking lower into the water. We continued to sit like that, in a comfortable silence for a long while, until I stiffened and murmured to Eagle,"Pervert ten o'clock, you want to get him, or should I?"
