Restaurant love (pt 1)

I was working at my father's restaurant. I was working there to earn enough money to move out. I love my family but being 23 years old already, I wanted to be independent. My dad had made me the general manager. A few months after I started working there, my dad hired a new server, Jung Hoseok. The minute I laid my eyes on him, I knew that I would like him. Hoseok and I hit it off. We hung out a lot whenever we had our breaks and after sometime, we both established that we liked each other. Hoseok asked me out a few months later. Obviously I said yes. 

Hoseok and I have been dating for about eight months now but it was in secret. The reason for this is because my dad, was against employees dating each other. However, I did not want to keep this a secret from my dad. While the other employees were on their break, I wanted to talk to Hoseok.

"Hoseok I need to speak to you right now" I said in the most professional voice possible as not to raise suspicion. Everyone looked unfazed and carried on what they were talking about. Hoseok walked over to the door that I was holding open for him.

"Heey~ baby" Hoseok said as he planted a chaste kiss on my lips.

"Y/N we have not been on a date in ages. I miss you" Hoseok said as he held as he held me in his arms. I am lucky I am black or else I would be blushing like mad.

"Well I am free this week- and yeah I think you have been slacking a lot lately, you have been messing up orders." I quickly switched what I was saying as somebody enter the room. They seemed to be looking for something. They picked up a watch and then left the room again.

"That was a close one" said Hoseok in relief.

"Hoseok baby, I think it is time to tell my dad about us," I said to Hoseok.

Hoseok's eyes went wide. He aggressively shook his head in disagreement.

"No y/n, you know how he feels about dating other employees. He will hate the idea." replied Hoseok,

"But baby, you are his favourite server, that is bound to earn you some brownie points and plus I am his daughter" I said in reply.

Hoseok's seemed hesitant but then he sighed and nodded. I had a wide smile on my face. 

- after their break -

(Third Person POV)

As Hoseok and y/n stopped outside her dad's office, it was y/n who was starting to get cold feet. Hoseok noticed the hesitant expression plastered on her face and squeezed her hand in reassurance. Hoseok knocked on the door. Y/N's dad called for them to come in.

"Oh darling, and how is my best server?" asked y/n's dad with a grin on his face,

Y/N's dad did not notice the fact that y/n and Hoseok were holding hands. He walked over and hugged his daughter.

"So how can I help you guys?" Question y/n's dad

"Well Mr. f/l/n(father's last name), we wanted to tell you something" replied Hoseok slightly nervous. Y/n's dad's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Well you see, your daughter and I have been dating for about eight months now and we felt that it was only right to tell you. Is it okay that I date your daughter, sir?" continued Hoseok.

Y/n's dad looked at the both of them with an unreadable expression. He did not like the idea one bit. He started shaking his head.

"No, I don't like this. You know my rules. Break up." said y/n's dad in a stern voice,

"But dad-" y/n tried to say something only to be cut off by her dad

"No and I will not have my child disobey me. Break up"

Hoseok looked dumbfounded and y/n looked like she was about to cry.

They both looked down and nodded. They walked to the door and left her dad's office. Y/n and Hoseok looked at each other and Hoseok held y/n's hands in his.

"Y/n as much as I don't want to do this, it is your father's wish" started Hoseok,

"Y/n I love you" he finished and pulled her into a hug. He pulled away and his lips met hers in a soft kiss. After a few seconds he pulled away.

"I love you too" replied y/n, her eyes gleaming with tears that were threatening to escape. 

Hoseok let her hands go. Y/n watched the source of her happiness walk away.
