She Has No Clue

There's champagne!

There's nothing much going on at school today. We have an art show today which I'm participating in, but it takes place at 7 pm. The rest of the day we basically just have sports, debates, and subject quizzes which are non of which I take. The great thing about today is that our family comes to visit us and see how much we've progressed on our skills. I've been homesick as lots of people know, so it's really amazing that I get to see them today.
It's 9 am in the morning, I see a text on my phone from a group chat.

Flynn: Zoe, Sophie, let's sneak outta school and go have some fun, what do you say?

Sophie: I'm in

Me: Not sure about this guys

Flynn: Come on Zoe. It'll be fun I promise. 😉

Sophie: Please Zoe, please don't leave me alone with this weirdo.😂❤️

Flynn: Yeah don't leave us alone😏all alone, together.

Sophie: Ew Flynn yes Zoe come.

Me: Fine. But if we get into trouble it's all on you two.

The things I get into.

"Zoe, do you have any plans today?" Chung comes out of the shower with a towel on her head shaped like a dove, she can literally do origami on anything.

"Yeah I kind of do. Why?"

"Oh, well I was hoping you'd watch me play piano today, my family couldn't come, but I have you and Emma." She looks down at her feet, I feel super guilty for not coming. Her own family isn't showing up, I can't do this to her.

"What time is it?"

"One pm." She nods.

"Oh then I guess that's fine. I can watch." A vibrant smile forms on her face. Her smile is so cute I love it when Chung smiles.

"Hey guys. I'm doing girls soccer wanna watch?" Emma sits down on her bed packing sports stuff.

"What time is the match?"

"One-."

"Shit." Chung and I both say at the same time.

"My piano piece is at one Emma." She looks at her hoping she'll have a little bit of mercy.

"You didn't let me finish. It's at one thirty." She calmly repeats.

"Oh perfect I'll be there." Chung seems more relaxed. This piano piece she's performing must mean so much to her, she's been practicing the whole term, she needs people who are close to her that can appreciate it. And other than her family, we're the closest thing she has.

Chung and Emma are talking, before I could give an opinion on their conversation my phone rings.

"Hey Zo." It is Flynn.

"Flynn, why didn't you just text me?" I sometimes just dislike the behavior of people who call you instead of simply just sending a message to your phone.

"My fingers are tired."

"Um.. Okay. Oh I wanted to ask, what time are we sneaking out?"

"Eleven."

"Holy crap. Till what time then?" I bite my tongue hoping it isn't eleven till six or something crazy that I cannot obtain.

"Eleven till twelve, then after we're gonna go grab a bite, then we're going to go somewhere special at around one-ish."

"What do you mean one-ish? Like how one-ish?" I begin to panic.

"Zoe are you okay? I can make it two if you want."

"Two's better thank you."

I hung up the phone, letting out a breath of relief, I never want to get anyone disappointed. I look at the time it's already ten fifteen, I have to be at this place which I have no clue where I'm going, at around eleven or so. This is definitely going to be a rush.

I'm already putting on some Chapstick, I'm not really a makeup kind of person. I mean I love make up, I'm obsessed with watching all kinds of tutorials, but I have no idea how to put it on, I'm basically either a clown or zombie when I wear it.

I hear a notification on my phone and check to see.

Sophie: Zoe! We're going to get late.

Me: On my way, where are you?

Sophie: It's complicated. Flynn is going to come get you.

It's complicated? That sounds extremely sketchy.
I get out of the room and before me is Flynn, we nearly bobbed heads.

"Flynn, Sophie said you were going to show me where we're going."

"Yeah follow me." He abruptly grabs my hand as we walk to some place I have no clue as to where we're going.

We get out of the area near my dorm, pass through the main field, and now we've ended up on a really narrow pathway with pretty yet thorny flowers.

"What the hell is going on here?" There's a stream we have to cross now, I'm extremely confused. Am I being kidnapped? I'm genuinely worried right now. Coming closer towards the stream, it seems pretty large, well it's not that hard for Flynn to cross since he's pretty tall and has long legs, but as for me, this is going to be a problem.

"Flynn. I don't think I can cross this." We stand by the stream just glaring at it.

"I'll carry you." We look at each other for ten seconds, as I contemplate if I want Flynn to carry me over a stream which I could easily fall into or not. "So what do you say? Do you want it piggyback or bridal style?"

"Piggyback I guess." I roll my eyes and jump on top of his back.

After passing through a few bushes we finally made it to a place where there's no water, thorns, or bushes. It's like a parking lot, but it's not necessarily inside of the school.

"We're here." He points towards a modern limo, while Sophie is at the back of the car with her head outside the window with a wide smile and a very vigorous wave, that made Flynn and I laugh so hard.

"That's a really nice ride Flynn, you really went all out, thank you, so, so much." I run in for a hug. "You're nice and warm by the way. And you smell really good."

"Thanks." He chuckles. "And of course I would go all out for you. You mean a lot to me." He holds on to me tighter.

"Guys come on! There's champagne!" Sophie cheers loudly.

"You really shouldn't have left her with the alcohol." I shake my head and let out a giggle.

"You're right." He gazes at Sophie for a solid ten seconds. "Well we better get in there before she gets wasted." We rush into the limo before she gets even more out of hand. This is going to be interesting. I can't wait.
