I wake up in bed the next morning thinking about how great last night was, when Hunter kissed me, when he did the most generous thing, by giving me his award by letting me work with the Rita Gloss. It was probably the best thing that has ever occurred for me at this school.

The closed curtains make the dorm seem quite dark, as I unlock my phone, the bright light flashes upon my eyes, it wasn't a very pleasant feeling. I get a text from someone unfamiliar, it seems that I haven't saved them on my contacts list. Seems a little odd, brings me to the edge of my curiosity.

Unknown: Good morning Zoe.

I think about how there's nothing much to lose, so I go ahead and reply.

Me: Hey, do I know you?

Unknown: Surely you couldn't have already forgotten the person you had kissed yesterday.

Well that statement made it no surprise that it was Hunter.

Me: How did you get my number?

Hunter: One of your friends helped me out.

That's flattering. I'm not so sure if I should thank this friend or never trust them with my contact information ever again. I was quite happy Hunter texted me though, it was sweet that he could actually reach out to me, in a modern love type of way, texting. Well that sounds sadder once you say it out loud. But the reach for communication is nice.

It's Sunday morning. I don't really do anything on Sundays unless someone asks me to, and that's very unlikely because majority of people want to either sleep, or do something lazy and perhaps religious on that day. So it isn't very eventful for peer group activities.

I prepare myself to face the day. I'm feeling pretty enthusiastic, what went down yesterday made me pretty positive about being in school, and that's quite rare for me to say if you know me well.

I jog to the dining which seems like miles away from my dorm, craving a certain type of breakfast, waffles or pancakes, it really didn't matter I could have both. As I catch my breath I see Flynn, Emma, Chung and Sophie sitting together by a table, I care to join the clan after I pick the food I'm desperately wanting to indulge in.

"You look happier than usual Zoe." Flynn looks at me suspiciously. Well someone's acting a little weirder than usual.

"I get to see Rita Gloss, I have the right to be happy." I shake my head and laugh. And it also had a little to do with Hunter last night, but I wasn't going to let that information sip through that quick.

"Hey look it's Hunter." Emma glances over her left and notices Hunter walking towards our table.

"Hunter?" Flynn glances at me with some anger filled in his eyes.

"Hey Zoe." Hunter nods his head while approaching us.

"Hunter." I smile at him.

"Ooh Hunter! Come sit with us!" Sophie sets up a chair beside her which is right across mine.

"If that's what you want Zoe?" He looks at me cautiously waiting for a response.

"Of course, grab a seat." As he sits down I couldn't help but notice Flynn shift uncomfortably on his chair avoiding eye contact with Hunter.

"So Hunter how do you feel about winning that award?" Chung rests her face on the palm of her hand as she stares with interest.

"It feels great, I didn't really know what to except, Zoe is a such amazing artist, it must have been a tough decision." He glances over my direction and smiles.
