As the days went by, my relationship Daniel kinda went down the drain. I would still show up at the guys' house but Daniel wouldn't talk to me. It really annoyed me that he wouldn't talk to me. But Jack said he wasn't talking to anyone, he would just type away on his phone.

"I'm going out." Daniel had spoken for the first time in a couple of days.

"Where are you going?" Zach wondered.

"Does it matter?" Daniel replied as he was putting on his army green jacket.

"We just would like to know, in case you get kidnapped or something." Zach added.

"How absurd." Daniel mumbled before walking out the front door.

"I bet ya he's going to see that girl." Jack said and he was right.

For the next 2 weeks, Daniel went out everyday to meet with that girl. He never told any of us where he was going but he would always go out. He dressed nicely, styled his hair as if he was going on a date. It bugged me so much.

"Guys. I'd like you to meet Veronica." Daniel announced as he stood in the doorway with a girl stuck to his hip.

We all flung our heads over to see Veronica. She was wearing a black singlet, with the red flannel she had on the first time I saw her, ripped black jeans and white converse. She was rather pretty which made me feel insecure about myself. I was wearing one of Jonah's shirts, ripped black jeans and black vans.

"Hey, I'm Christina." Christina was the first to introduce herself to Veronica.

"I'm Corbyn."

"Jack."

"Jonah."

"Hey, I'm Zach."

The guys all introduced themselves to Veronica. I hadn't done so yet, and Daniel was glaring at me to tell her my name.

"I'm Sam."

"Must be short for Samantha." Veronica nodded.

"Uh yeah. I prefer Sam. Only my mother calls me Samantha." I told her.

"Ah. I see. Well, Dani, can I have a tour of your place?" Veronica turned her attention back to Daniel and he smiled widely at her.

"Of course, V." Daniel showed Veronica around the place.

While they were upstairs, I took the time to panic.

"Christina! Please help me!" I begged my best friend.

"Yeah. Just avoid yourself from Daniel at the moment." She agreed.

"But I can't! She stole my nickname for him." I told her.

"I know, I know." Christina added.

"You're so cute, Dani." I heard Veronica say as her and Daniel came back into the living room.

I rolled my eyes and turned my back from them.

"Jonah! Help!" I whispered to him since he was standing next to me.

"Hey baby girl, wanna get some ice cream." Jonah said quite loudly and pulled me in close to him.

"Yeah of course." I kissed his lips.

"Chocolate chip with sprinkles?" Jonah checked my order.

"Definitely." I kissed his lips again.

"Uh Sam? I thought your favourite ice-cream was plain chocolate?" Daniel interrupted and glared at Jonah.

"Well, looks like I've got a new favourite." I replied still looking at Jonah who smiled at me.

"Shall I drive?" Jonah offered.

"If you like." I shrugged.

"Since when are you two dating?" Daniel questioned.

"Well you would already know but since you're always texting, you haven't been bothered to check in with the real world. So yes, we are dating." I gave a smug look at Daniel.

"Ooh. Shade is being thrown." Zach commented.

"Got a problem, Dani?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"No. Not at all." He said rather quickly.

"Ice-cream?" Jonah grabbed my hand.

"Let's go." I walked out the door with Jonah still holding my hand.

We got into Jonah's car and he drove away from the guys' place. I sighed before I rambled to Jonah for thanking me.

"We're friends, and I'm helping you out. Plus, you and Daniel make a cute couple." Jonah assured me.

"Thanks, Jonah." I blushed.

We arrived at a small ice-cream parlour and Jonah ordered our ice-creams.

"One chocolate chip ice-cream with sprinkles." Jonah smiled while handing me my ice-cream in a cone.

"Thank you." I smiled at him before taking a lick out of my ice-cream.

Jonah and I sat at a table for two and ate our ice-creams. We talked about the Daniel situation for a bit until Jonah randomly changed his sentence half-way through talking. I gave him a confused look but then he took my hand that was resting on the table.

"Baby, you've got a bit of ice-cream on your nose." Jonah told me.

"Oh, I do?" I took my hand out of his to touch my face.

"There's nothing there." I felt no ice-cream on my face.

"Yeah there is." Jonah then shoved his ice-cream in my face and it was super cold.

"Hey! That's cold!" I whined before reaching to grab a serviette.

"Nah. Babe, I got it." He leaned forward and licked my nose scraping all the ice cream off my face.

"Ew! Did you get any of my boogers?" I joked.

"Nope. But I think I licked off your makeup." Jonah shrugged.

"Nooo! Not my makeup!" I stood up and gave my ice-cream to Jonah.

"I'll be back. Don't eat any." I warned him.

"Okay." He responded.

I walked into the bathroom, and there I saw Veronica. She was washing her hands. I didn't say anything. I just went up to a different sink and placed my bag next to it. I pulled out some powder and a small makeup brush. I always kept powder in my bag to give myself a touch up, if I needed to. I applied the powder to my nose and fixed my makeup. It looked a lot better than it was before.

"Sam?" I heard Veronica call my name.

"Hey, Veronica." I turned around and put the powder and the brush back into my bag.

"I saw you and Jonah having a good time. Must be nice to have him as your boyfriend." She said to me.

"Yeah. He is really sweet." I answered not giving a lot of information in my responses.

"Did you and Daniel ever date?" She asked me cautiously.

"We had a thing but it wasn't official. That was a while ago but I'm with Jonah now, so it's cool." I shrugged.

"Ah. Well, I'll see you later then." Veronica said before leaving me in the bathroom.

I watched her exit the bathroom and I stood there for a minute before exiting. I walked back over to Jonah to see him licking at my ice-cream.

"Baby? I told you not to eat my ice-cream." I sat down in front of him.

"Sorry." He said innocently before returning my ice-cream to me.

"Can we go on a walk?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I have something to tell you." Jonah stood up and I followed him.

I looked over my shoulder to see Daniel and Veronica sucking faces in the corner. To be honest, my heart felt like somebody ripped it out of my chest and shattered it. I guess, I thought Daniel was the one, by apparently not.
