CHAPTER 6: PERCY JACKSON HAS MY HEART IN HIS HANDS

JACK

I'm late to school the next day because I have to buy a new phone because the force and velocity at which I threw the other one yesterday completely shattered it.

Oops?

By the time I get to school, everyone is in class already so I quickly make my way to history with Miss Jezebe- Falun.

I accidentally open the door with more force than necessary and it ricochets of the wall behind it with a loud bang, causing all eyes to turn on me.

I feel a sudden surge of panic. I can't help it, so many people have never looked at me all at once before, its unnerving.

I cover it up however with a smirk, "sorry I'm late Miss" I mumble halfheartedly.

She shoots me a glare, "I'll be seeing you later in detention Mr Power"

I roll my eyes and make my way to my seat beside Ana.

"Hello" she whispers in greeting with a smile. Surprised at her sudden friendliness, it takes me a few seconds to actually reply. She shakes her head, a small smile playing on her lips.

She scribbles something at the edge of her note and tilts it so I can see. Didn't we agree we'd be friends? Friends greet each other when they see.

A small smile appears on my lips and I quickly scribble my reply
Aww I knew you wanted to be my friend ;)

She just rolls her eyes in reply, a small smile playing on her lips. Since she has decided to stop using the face makeup, I can see her pale cheeks tinged pink.

She's adorable.

I blink at the thought that just pops in my head. Where did that come from?

I shake my head and turn my attention to Miss Falun just as she announces that we should partner up and start working on our projects.

I grab my chair and place it in front of her desk and she smiles up at me as I sit.

"You look excited" I notice.

She shrugs, "I am"

I raise an eyebrow, "okay why?"

She reaches down and comes back with a satchel which she places on the desk, "here" she pushes it towards me.

Confused, I open it curiously. Books. Its filled with books.

Even more confused, I bring out all the books and place them on the desk, "um, why?"

She leans forward, "this pile" she separated five books, "is The Percy Jackson and The Olympians series. The Lightening Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titans Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last OlympianAnd this pile" she gestures to the other five, "is the Heroes of Olympus series. The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune, The Mark of Athena, The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus. These are the best books you will ever read" she finishes with pride, a wide grin on her face.
