Aqualad (Young Justice) x reader | Princess of Vlatava

Dick POV

I sat down in my seat, waiting for Aqualad to join us so we could head back to the Cave. I turned around when I heard two sets of footsteps walking towards us. My eyes widened a little when I saw a (h/c) haired girl walking to one of the empty seats with Aqualad moving behind her. Miss Martian started up the Bio-ship once everyone was seated.

I glanced over at Aqualad, who looked back over at me. I nodded my head towards the girl, trying to figure out who she was. He simply raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Who is she?" I mouthed, tilting my head to the side.

Aqualad nodded, understanding what I was asking. His seat belt retracted, allowing him to stand up.

"Team," he said, getting everyone's attention. "I would like to officially introduce the newest member of our team." He motioned to the girl. "This is (h/n)."

"Hi," she said, waving a little. "My name is (y/n)."

"Hey there, babe," Wally said, leaning forward in his chair. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow but a small smile on her face to show her entertainment. "I'm Kid Flash, but you can call me Wally."

Artemis reached over and whacked him over the head.

"I'm Artemis," she introduced.

The rest of us went around, introducing ourselves to (h/n). When we got to me, I simply gave my hero name since Batman wouldn't let me reveal my real name yet. As we finished, (h/n) smiled.

"It's really nice to meet you all," she said.

"So, (y/n)," M'gann said, gaining her attention. "How did you come to join the team?"

The girl shrugged.

"The League apparently found out about my powers. I was living with my younger sister and our guardian when Batman, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter came to recruit me."

M'gann smiled at the mention of her uncle.

"What are your powers?" Conner questioned.

(y/n) stood up and took a step back. We all stared as two giant grey wings grew out of her back. She smiled at us before turning around to show them off.

"I also have super strength," (y/n) told us, turning around again as her wings retracted.

"Woah," Wally breathed. "That is so cool!"

"Thanks, Wally," (y/n) said.

"Perhaps tomorrow, after we are all well rested, we can get to know you better, (y/n)," Kaldur said, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"I would love that. I can't wait to get to know you all better."

I smiled at her.

"Welcome to the team, (h/n)," I said.
