Valentine's Day Proposal

BEGINNING NOTE:// Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope you all are surrounded by people who love you, even if you're not in a relationship. Sorry if this doesn't turn out well.. Evan and Connor have been together since senior year in high school. Last year, they both graduated college and moved out of their apartment. They moved into a small house about an hour or two away from Heidi. Both wanted to propose to the other, but both were equally terrified. It wasn't until the weekend before Valentine's Day that Connor finally decided he would propose to Evan.

Connor had bought a small silver ring with a blue diamond in the middle. He had the words "For Forever" engraved on the side. He decided he would propose at the orchard, the same one that they went to in high school. All he had to do now was wait for the day to arrive.

VALENTINES DAY:

The two boys had just finished their dinner and were in the car. The date was going according to plan, and both boys were extremely happy.

"Hey Con, where are we going? I thought we were going home after dinner.." Evan replied after seeing they were going the opposite way from their house.

Connor smiled before responding. "It's a surprise, Ev! If I would tell you where we were going it'd ruin it."

"Ah that's true." Evan laughed a bit. Connor smiled at Evan and continued the drive.

*SKIP TO WHEN THEY GET TO THE ORCHARD CAUSE IM RUNNING OUT OF THINGS TO WRITEEE*

"Ok Evan, close your eyes."
"Uhm... ok?"

Connor got out of the car and walked around to Evan's side. He helped Evan get out before grabbing his hand and leading him to the entrance. Once they arrived at the gate, Connor went behind Evan and wrapped his arms around him.

"Ok.. you can open!"

When Evan opened his eyes, a huge smile went across his face. "Awh.. Con. This is amazing!"

Connor took Evan's hand again, and they ran off. They followed the path for a bit before Connor stopped.

"Uh.. Ev. I need to tell you something.." Evan looked at Connor with concern in his eyes. Connor took a deep breath before he started.

"Evan.. gosh I don't even know where to start. Evan, you are honestly the best thing that's ever happened to me. Without you, I honestly don't know where I'd be. You constantly make each and every day better. I can always count on you to make even the worst days amazing. I know how cheesy this may sound but oh my gosh- Evan I just love you so much. Like literally everything about you is so perfect, and I wish you could realize that. Even on the bad days, you still manage to shine through. And I honestly can't even express how much you mean to me.. Which is why I wanted to ask you," Connor then took out the box from his pocket and got on one knee. Evan gasped and put his hand over his mouth, a few tears flowing down his bright red face.

Connor looked up at Evan. "Evan Hansen, will you marry me?"

Evan was sobbing. "Oh m-my gosh- yes!"

Evan engulfed Connor in a hug, both of them sobbing tears of joy. Evan then kissed Connor before resting his forehead on the others. Connor slipped the ring on Evan's hand and kissed him again.

Evan stared at the ring, taking in every little detail. He then turned to Connor with the biggest smile on his face.

"We're getting married, Con!" Evan said.

Connor laughed. "We finally are."
