OK OK OK BEFORE I START

I WILL BE ADDING AN ACTUAL CHAPTER SOON

...I promise ... I'll get there

—————///////————-

I SAW DEAR EVAN HANSEN ON FRIDAY

*screams*

It was an amazing experience. The entire cast was so amazing and gave a spectacular performance.

The cast I saw was:

Taylor as Evan
Alex as Connor
Will as Jared
Laura as Zoe
Phoenix as Alana
Rachel as Heidi
Michael as Larry
Jennifer as Cynthia

I was an emotional wreck

As soon as Will came on stage, I literally started crying. I was pretty much either smiling, laughing, or crying throughout the entire show.

I got excited for every time a song started. Waving Through a Window was absolutely beautiful. FOR FOREVER TOO. Sincerely me..
I couldn't stop laughing. THE REPRISE WAS BEAUTIFUL. I can't even describe the rest... (just know that the creators are cruel for putting So Big/So Small right after Words Fail. Like c'mon... I was already crying, I don't need another emotional breakdown.)

AND THEN...

MY MOTHER ALLOWED ME TO STAY AT THE STAGE DOOR

I. WAS. SHOOK

Once we got outside, I realized there wasn't as big of a crowd as I thought there would be. We found a spot close to the front, got out our sharpies, and chilled. I was relatively close to the front, but there were people much taller than me infront of me and right by the gate. This one girl was nice enough to take my PlayBill to the front to get it signed since I was so small I couldn't reach. The first person to come out was Michael Park. WE ALL SCREAMED. Michael went really fast, and I couldn't get a picture. Luckily, the girl managed to get my PlayBill signed by him. (My sister wasn't able to get hers signed. We tried really hard to get it, but he was already gone. SO HAH MADDIE. I know she's reading this.. she'll yell at me later. ANYWAYS) Phoenix was the next person to come out. She was really sweet and signed as many things as she could. Taylor came out soon after and did the same, except he came out left stage door and went all the way to the right to start. He was super sweet as well and talked to many people. ALEX CAME OUT NEXT AND LITERALLY EVERYONE WENT CRAZY. (They went crazy for all the members but Taylor and Alex had the loudest cheers.) He was also sweet and signed. He left with a peace sign. It was great. The girl infront of me had to leave, so she returned my PlayBill and gave me her spot, WHICH WAS RIGHT BY THE GATE *AHH.* Rachel was the last person to come out. She was super humble and sweet. She was standing right infront of me, signing my PlayBill, and I couldn't say anything. I was literally that shook. When she handed my PlayBill back, all I could say was "Thank you so much" and she smiled at me and continued. After she left, we waited a bit before the guards had said everyone had left. My sister was joking about how I should've brought gummy bears to attract Will out. We went back to the hotel after that.

The entire night seemed like a dream to me. I couldn't believe that little me was in the Music Box Theatre watching Dear Evan Hansen in real life, not from a blurry bootleg I found on YouTube that would be removed the next day. I would recommend this show to anyone who asked for a good Broadway show to see. DEH means so much to me, and just seeing it has made my NYC trip much better.
