Paying the taxi driver the kids run to my mum quickly pulling her into an in brace.
"Grandma we missed you !" " me and grandad missed you to !" When I look around me my dad is no where to be seen "mum where's dad?" Then I see the worry in her eyes...no..no "Gary sit down"
sitting down I sit daisy on my knee gently holding her hand I can see the worry in my mothers eyes "you...your dad he had a fall....he's...he's not woke yet" my heart drops,the thundering off my heart fills my ears...no..no "m..mum are you alright you know that dad is a fighter right ?" She grabs my hand and looks me lovingly in the eyes "am..fine Gary And I know he..he will get through this I promise you.."
••A COUPLE OFF HOURS LATER••
As my mum leaves the house I rest my hands on the work top letting myself fall into a day dream... what if he wakes up and he doesn't know am his son?...even worse what if he doesn't wake up at al- am nocked out off my trance as Dawn starts to speak "baby will you help daisy unpack ?" I give her a gentle smile and pick Daisy up it will take my mind off stuff so why not? "Er...yeah sure if I can do one thing" she looks at me in the eyes "and what is that ?" "Let me go to the studio after dinner for bit?" I say with a smug smile "fine but as long as your back for 10:30 I want to spend time with my husband" I give her a quick kiss then with daisy in my arms run up the stair to help daisy unpack
"Dad !" As I walk to Emily i here the repeat off my name "yeah yeah am coming what's up?" "Can I go out" "depends have you finished unpacking?" She looks at me and smiles "yes I have done everything" "go ask your mum" she signs.
you see when the mothers are the "bosses" of the house they can be the disappointment they put he child through I know what Dawn will say "no dinners going to be ready soon and we've just come home" are you ready? 5,4,3,2,1
"Please mum..!" Ay what did I tell you ? Going downstairs I can here the what was quite bickering become louder as I can see Dawn start to lose her patience's "come on em listen to your mum" "no I want to go out !!" Did she just say no?? "Excuse me don't you u dare tell me or your mother no if we're saying your staying in then your staying in!" "Ugh..
I have the worst parents in the world" I hear her mutter to herself as she heads upstairs.
