Emma's POV

I was reading a book in my house while there was a thunder storm outside in the night. Thunder and lighting crashed and boomed outside. I heard a girl scream and run into my room. She got under the covers with me.

"Faith. There's nothing to be scared of. Its just nature." I say sweetly throwing the covers off of her and hugging her. She hugs me back and starts to cry. "Shh, honey." I comfort. She pulls back. "Wheres daddy?" She asks. I smile. She always had a special connection with Killian. And I loved it.

I looked out the window. He was out there with dad helping him stable the ranch. I looked back at faith. "He's fine." I answer. She furrowed her eyebrows. "He's out there isn't he!? He's out there in the storm! Mommy we have to find him before something bad happens!" She exclaims shaking my arm.

I sigh. She was smart for a seven year old. I look at her saying 'we can't.' "Please." She begs. Tears glanced her blue eyes. I giver her a sad smile, how could I say no to her!? "Okay." I say picking her up and moving her off of me.

We got ready and headed out.

Through the whole car ride the way in the backseat looking out the window in search for the man in her life. (Wow okay. Why did I write that?)

We finally made it to the ranch. Silhouettes of two people could be seen working at the horse stables. As soon as I turned off the engine faith opened the door and ran out. I had to run after her before I lost her in the rain.

I ran out and picked her up. "Honey, you can't run away like that." I lightly scold her. She looks down in shame. I run/walk over to the fathers. "Daddy!" Faith exclaimed happily when she saw him. Killian shot up from his bending down position.

He looked around for the source of the noise and his eyes captured us. He smiled and jogged over to us. "Swan, love, what are you doing out here in the storm?" He asked a bit annoyed. He was drenched in water head to toe. His wet grey shirt fit him very tightly, outlining his muscles on his abs and arms.

His hair was shiny and jet black, hanging slightly over his eyes. His chest heaved deeply in and out."I thought something bad happened to you in the storm." faith said.

Killian picked her up from me. "Love, you don't have to worry about me. Im a survivor." He tells her with a smile. this made her smile too. She hugged his neck and rested her head on his shoulder. Killian looked at me and smiled. I went and pecked him on the lips.

"She missed you." I whispered to him. "I missed both of you." He whispered. I let them have their moment as I walked over to my dad. "Hey emma. What are you doing out here so late? And in the rain?" He asked putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Faith wanted Killian." I answered flatly. He chuckled. I chuckled with him. "Love I think you two should go before one of you catch a cold." Killian called to me. Dad nodded and gently pushed me around. I roll my eyes and went to take faith from Killian.

I hugged dad and Killian. "Good night emma." "Night dad." Killian leaned close to my ear once my dad walked away. "Ill be home soon love." He whispered. I nod. "Good night little love. Ill see you in the morning." He said and kissed the top of faith head. "Night daddy."

I walked back to the car with her sleepily in my arms.
