The sound we heard was most definitely an eidolon just outside the gate. Konzu comes running up to us when we exit the ship panicked and terrified.
"Help us surahs! An eidolon has never come this close to our village. Something is terribly wrong!"
"Ya don't bloody say..." I reply sarcastically. "What gave it away? The freaking Teralyst or the fact that your gate is probably malfunctioning?"
"Hades. Calm down. We got this. Easy peasy, right?" Brimstone says.
"Totally! I'm not scared of a 'Teralyst'" shouts Cerberus, "bring it on!"
"Have either of you fought or SEEN an eidolon?" They both shake their heads confused "well, its not easy with a team that does have their operators. But right now we have 2 operators and a guardian... I'm afraid we might not be able to handle it."
"We have to try! I am not sitting here waiting to die by some Orokin piece of trash. I will put up a fight!"
"Same here! I have a freaking shield! I'm pretty sure it can take whatever is thrown at us. Just saying."
Defeated, I hesitantly look from my team to Konzu. "Okay, open the gate enough for us to get out then close it so nothing can come attack the camp." Konzu nods in response and gets ready to open the gate. My team waits just before the gate and then something dawns on me. "I dont have a gun. How can I fight that thing without a gun!? We. Are. So. Screwed..." As I finish, the doors open revealing Vor, Ghaul, and the Teralyst.
"Ah so the monstrosity found its calling. Its enhancement. Well that won't save you child. You don't belong in this realm and you shall be eradicated," the unknown voice taunts.
"Oh great, disembodied voice and the bitch squad are back... Woohoo..." I mutter sarcastically while using transference to control my Gara. The rest of my team snickers a tad before getting ready themselves. "Might I ask who oh-so-graciously continues to attempt at discouraging me and my team to fight?"
"Call me... Mischief. And you, little Hades are in for a 'Hell' of a time tonight! Not only will you need to capture the Teralyst. But you will also have to capture the Gantulyst and Hydrolyst! Good luck doing it without a gun!" Mischief as well as Vor and Ghaul teleport away. Then the Teralyst starts to move around.
"Ok here's the plan. Cerberus, find some lures so we can trap this thing. Brimstone distract the Teralyst while he does that. I'll try to look for a gun or something in caches. Everyone meet at the Teralyst in 5 minutes. Got it?" But I get confused looks from both.
"I dont have a gun..." Brimstone says.
"And I dont know what the lures are..." Cerberus adds.
"Oh for fu- ok, switch then. And brimstone you have Excalibur so just use exalted blade. We good NOW?" We split up and do our jobs. I run around the plains looking for camps that I can rummage around for a gun in. I find a camp that has a few caches, a lure, Grineer, and vomvalysts... 'Shit' I think to myself. I activate my glass shield so that I can take less damage from everything thats gonna try to kill me, mark the lure for Brimstone, and sprint around the camp to each of the caches. The first 2 had nothing useful. The second had a pistol called "the stubba" in it. And the final cache I checked had a sniper rifle called "the vulkar wraith". 'This should work' I think, 'Now I just have to meet Cerberus at the Teralyst, hopefully Brimstone can wrangle enough lures. And hopefully cerberus isn't, ya know, dead...'
Another chapter down! Hoping to get more chapters more consistently. Just gotta get facts right about the games involved as well as make sure my ideas work with the plot I'm creating. Peace!
