The Fate of Hades

Chapter 10: Left Alone and Taken Away

Team Hellfire has left for Venus in search of the colony of corpus stationed there. The whole group is certain to gain some new tricks up their sleeves, but one member may have to make the biggest decisions he will ever have to make... Lets see and find out shall we?

"Hades get the Hell up its time to go!" Someone shouts from outside of my room.

"Yeah yeah. I'm comin'. Dont make me leave you on another planet." I get out of bed and open the door not even bothering to transfer into a warframe. I see Brimstone just outside my room geared up and ready to explore Venus in his Excalibur umbra and skiajati katana. He looks at me cocking his head to the side.

"Well, are you going out like that? You sure you can fight and be able to live afterwards?" He asks.

"Lets just get this over with. Where's Cerberus?" I deadpan at him without stopping my walk down the hall.

"He's out guarding us while I woke you up. You know, this was your idea. Don't be pissy just cuz you're tired or whatever." If he was about to say something else he wouldnt have been able to, because I had my scythe out against his warframe's neck and eyes glowing a sickly gray color.

"I have every right to be pissy. You dont know what its like having all these powers, plus more to come apparently, while being unable to use them all without collapsing in a heap. So just stay out of my business. Do I make myself clear?" As if my speech, scythe, or freaky eyes had no effect on him, Brimstone pushed me away slowly.

"I'm just saying, we got your back alright? Besides, what do you think you could've done with that little sickle of yours to me?" At this question I raise my eyebrows, back up so I'm next to a metal beam just laying around, place it vertically, swing my scythe and walk away.

"Its not a sickle, its a scythe," I say as the beam is split into two pieces that clang to the ground. When I get outside I pass Cerberus who has his No Turning Back bow out. He tries to grab my arm but Cerberus shakes his head not to. I'm left to my own thoughts as I roam Venus looking for anything to do. Soon, I find a weird grate thing and move it to the side. Peering in, I see absolutely nothing but a long ass drop to certain doom. Not giving a shit, I jump...

Cerberus' pov

"What the Hell is up with him?" I ask Brim.

"He's just pissy. Lets go find him." He starts walking away but I grab his shoulder.

"For real. Tell me what he told you."

"That we dont know what its like to be him. And he's right. Now lets go." We both walk in search of our troubled leader. Soon, we find an entrance that looks to be recently open. We both peer over the edge and look back at each other.

"You dont think he..."

"He totally did." Jumping down we land in a very techy camp/colony thing. No sign of Hades though. We walk around and hear the faint humming of the locals who dont seem to even notice us outsiders. I spot someone who looks like they could help us. Meanwhile Brim is off looking at moa bots. I get pulled into focus as a lady (I think) calls out to me.

"Hey kid. The name's eudico. How can I help ya?" The weird lady robot thing asks.

"Uh, my friend and I think someone came down here earlier see anyone like us lately? Bout this high, probably moping." She fiddles with her gun before answering.

"I think I know your guy. He landed in here with a huge thud, then stood up like we aren't 300 miles below the surface. Claimed to be a Guardian/Tenno. So I sent him out to do some work for the Solaris united. If you want him, you'll have to go out there yourself. But be careful. These freaky robots and space rhinos and monster versions came outta nowhere. They give me the creeps. Think your crew can take out a few? Ill make it worth your while."

"Of course. Hey Brim! Time to go!" I look over to see him being followed by a moa pet. I facepalm at the sight. "Please tell me you did not steal that thing?"

"Is it stealing if it follows you around?" I glare at him.

"Lets just go."

Hades' pov

"So lemme get this straight. You robot things are scared of other robot things, space rhinos with guns, and the Taken? Well, here we go. Ill clear out the area closest to Fortuna, but you're on your own afterwards." I say as I'm walking to the elevator leading upward.

"Thanks kid. Ill contact you when you're up." Eudico says. I get on the lift and check myself for a moment; I only have my null powers right now. No guns, no frame, no team, and most importantly no ghost. If I die out here... I won't think about that right now. I step out of the lift materializing my scythe. I hear eudico on the comms again, "welcome to Venus, it'll kill ya." I spot some cabal and vex warring over some stuff up ahead. But the Taken poof them out of existence. In fact, no corpus really seem to be around either which frightens me. I march on, wary of something about to jump out at me. All seems quiet as I make my way over to a really huge building. But some giant spider bot thing crawls out from a window and I notice something very interesting about this one. It has Taken energy flowing out of it. I gaze at it as it leaps down in front of me, ready to rip me to shreds. It shoots out a grappling hook and I jump out of the way. I run at it from the side and smash my scythe into the leg, causing it to stumble. I take off the other direction and get ready to defend myself from it. But it wasn't there. Next thing I know it grapples me from behind and I struggle to get out of it. I manage to, but it was getting closer. I sprint towards it and hop onto its back slashing my scythe into the metal. It throws me off but my scythe is still sticking out of the spider bot. I get ready to use my warlock powers to defend myself as it charges at me. I throw my grenade, taking a large chunk of health out of it. Then I use my charged up melee ability to deal a ton of damage to it again. Its still standing, albeit barely. I run at it one more time, sliding under its body to leap up behind it and grab my scythe. Ripping out my scythe dealt enough damage to decommision the robot, but now it was spraying taken energy. Quickly, a portal was created and a horde of taken thralls were released. I blink away from them and use my super since it was charged by defeating the big spider. I saw 3 flashes of orange purple and blue and then everything was white. I had exploded a mini army of taken thralls. Uh... Okay. That happened. Now for the portal I guess? But how do I close it? I get closer to it and because my guard was down I wasn't ready for the tentacle that snatched me into the Ascendant Plane.

Brimstone's pov

We were searching for Hades for like three hours now. We came across a huge statue building thingy and I just collapsed along the side of it. I patted the moa that continues to follow me around and glanced at Cerberus. He was walking around to the other side of the structure. I stayed out until I heard him call me. I groaned at first but I realize he had a very good reason to call me. A spider robot thing the size of an eidolon was on the ground with slash marks and some void, solar, and arc energy coming from it. We also saw a bit of taken energy too.

"Well... You wanna try going to find him? Because I think we found out where Hades went. Or rather where he was kidnapped." Cerberus asks.

"I guess so... But how are we going to make this thing bring us to him exactly? We don't quite have any means of activating a taken portal." Cerberus summons his ghost which scans the machine for anything useful. After a moment, a portal is opened, and we jump in. For Hades.

Hey y'all. Got a new part out for anyone who cares enough to read this far. In the next part I'll be incorporating Cerberus' new stuff and maybe mine in the same chapter depending on where I take the story. I'm making it up as I go along so I'm kinda enjoying the adventure a bit more. See ya in the next part!
