Last time we left off, a new soldier entered the mix; a "Freelancer" he calls himself. His goal was to kill me, ME. He definitely did not succeed in that, but rather he JOINED our team. In my effort of making a truce, I shook his hand. Like one would when striking a deal, right? The little bitch stole my powers in return! So now Cerberus, Brimstone, the Freelancer, and I are all stuck in the taken realm. We have yet to find any enemies, which is good but worrisome. I still do not have powers, mind you. So I cannot defend myself against anything. I did punch the ground however, and not only was I not hurt, I left a dent in it. I have reason to believe I am not without my powers, although they could have shifted in some way.
As I stare at the ground where the mark is, Cerberus comes over and puts a hand on my shoulder, and he hasn't seen the dent yet. I look at him sadly, debating whether I tell my team about what happened and my theory, but decide to keep it to myself. For now, I cannot control my powers... therefore, I will pretend they don't exist.
"Hey, we'll find a way to get your powers back, okay? I promise, we will figure this out. Until then, you still call the shots, but I would prefer you stay in back where you can't be hurt." He states without looking away. I squeeze his hand in thanks and get up. As I get ready to help carry the Javelin with us (more like drag), we hear something all around us. It kind of sounds like the tapping of metal mixed with the skittering of the scorn variants of the fallen. We definitely have an issue if there are as many enemies as there are skitters. Not to mention the freaking spider bot thing that got taken earlier. I take the javelin and climb inside just so I don't get totally destroyed, and my team gets to work on trying to kill the scorn... emphasis on "trying". They haven't fought against the scorn yet so they are easily out numbered and overwhelmed. When Cerberus and Brimstone are both knocked out, I try to use the javelin to fight back. I can't get it working, and I know they figured out I'm inside because I feel the metal getting hit. Next thing I know, I'm on my back and the scorn are all around me. I start freaking out and scream at the top of my lungs.
The javelin and I glow a redish-gray color and I feel the metal changing. The "ranger" javelin morphs into a different kind of javelin with a cape and hood. "Well, I could definitely get used to this kind of look," I say to myself, "Oh shi-" a scorn fires at me and I narrowly avoid it. At least I have it working now.
I jump up to avoid being blasted again, and start hovering. I look at a group of enemies, and chuck an icicle at them. It hits one in the face and goes through its skull. I start rapidly throwing ice and killing everything in the group. Another group forms behind me with more numbers, and I blast the enemies with a bolt of lightning. "Yo this is sick! You just do this shit all the time?" I say to the freelancer, who is currently holding a pistol and firing at anything that gets too close.
"Yup. But just wait for the good part!" And he gestures to a big goliath monster ahead of us.
I fire a bunch of icicles to freeze it in place then zap it. It explodes in an icy-electrified cloud, freezing it again. But its not dead. I feel a surge of power and pain, screaming out. I float upwards a bit and notice I'm glowing again. A few seconds later there are three meteors above the monster waiting to be used. I first use the ice to freeze the monster yet again, then the electric meteor to detonate it. The flaming meteor explodes on impact and sets it ablaze. As it burns to death, I descend to the javelin's knees. I feel another pain shoot up my spine and glow one more time, this time a greenish-gray color. I stay there shaking for a moment before basically exploding in light. The javelin shifted back to the original, and I'm outside of it. The freelancer wastes no time in suiting up as more scorn are coming, as well as a spider bot.
"Hey if you have any more tricks... Now would be a great time to use them!" He yells as he launches missiles to clear out the group of scorn. I fall onto my knees glowing multiple colors while trying to calm down. I kept alternating between green, red, and yellow which I have yet to see activate. I calm down enough to think a but more clearly, since the freelancer needs help against the spider.
"You can do this... You can do this. Just focus... You are not a tenno, or a guardian, or a fucking 'freelancer'. You are Hades, god of the underworld and keeper of souls. As a grim reaper, you best act like one," I say to myself. I reach out and glow my typical ghostly gray/white color. I concentrate a bit more and summon my scythe. I rise from the ground, beginning to glow over the rest of my body. The remaining scorn start hesitating. I stand motionless until one fires. Before the bullet makes it near me, I've already cut off the shooter's head. At that, the others start shooting me and I swiftly slice them up without being touched, as if I'm a ghost myself. Upon the last slash made, I collect the souls I reaped. I slowly turn my gaze to the spider.
"You should get out of there by the way" I say to the freelancer, who quickly dashes away from the spider robot thing.
As the freelancer gets behind me, the spider focuses its fire on me. Spraying taken goo in my direction. I blink out of the way and above where I was, swinging my scythe, still charged with souls. I release an energy slash towards the spider, unleashing the collected souls. The energy explodes on contact with the robot, causing a bunch of wisps to be attracted to it. I assume those are the souls I reaped taking vengeance. While its distracted I blink behind the spider and throw my scythe at its legs, tripping it. I leap backwards and gather energy again, this time my eyes starts releasing flames. When I reach my maximum amount of energy I release a wave of hellflame which was colored green red and yellow. I found it similar to how my previous ultimate would be purple blue and orange for the elements in destiny. But these new colors aren't related to any elements. Anyway, I notice that while spider seemingly disintegrates from existence, my team is revived, and the freelancer is untouched.
"Woah..." Is all the freelancer has to say. I touch back down to the ground and call my scythe to my hand, eyes still flaming. Then, I stumble and use my scythe as a walking stick to regain my balance. "You are just as volatile as a cataclysm, just as expected... Yet, you are able to direct its power in your favor. Curious," the freelancer chimes in.
"Hades! You okay!?" Brimstone rushes over and helps me stand.
"Hades, what happened? We were knocked out, and we come back to you on the ground, and no enemies in sight, and you holding your scythe with your eyes releasing... Fire? What the fuck...?" Cerberus says breathlessly.
"Yeah... You have a long story ahead of you. Lemme just catch my... Breath." I sit down despite being helped up as the freelancer recalls what happened.
