The four didn't speak a single word until they rushed through the gates, and saw what destruction the beast had already caused. Fire, fire was the only thing they could spot, well, other than the people running away in fright. Drawing her sword, Azalea bolted towards the tower square, already picking up the fiery monster's scent.
"Oi, what do you think you're doing," Dexa cried, staring at her friend in shock.
"What are you doing! We have to go help!" Azalea bellowed, disappearing behind the inky smoke. The three stood there in shock and confusion for about a minute.
"Yeah, you know what? I'm just going to go and wait out there. Good luck, guys," Ylva shrieked, slowing backing away from the scene.
"Oh no you don't, we can't just leave Azalea to fight that thing all by herself! Plus, if I have to go risk my life, so do you," Azara hissed, pulling her back by the helm of her shirt before she could turn and run. Dexa rolled her eyes at the siblings, turned on her heel, and trotted in Azalea's direction.
Gasping, Azara looked around in fright, "Where'd Dexa go!?"
"She probably went on ahead, since you were wasting time arguing with me! Come on, let's go help, nimrod," Ylva hollered, hitting him upside the head before skipping off towards the action.
"You were the one who started it! I swear if she wasn't my little sister, I would murder her myself," Azara fumed, muttering the last part to himself, and trudging after her, rubbing his head.
"Hey, you stupid little lizard! Go pick on someone your own size!" Azalea howled, pushing a young girl out of the range of the beast fangs, and slamming a shield against its scaly face. Twirling to face the child, Azalea ordered, "You need to get out of here! Run towards the gates, on your way there you should see a tall boy around my age with raven hair. Tell him I sent you, he'll help you to safety, okay?" She nodded, and rushed off down the stairs, leading towards the burnt marketplace. Azalea quickly rolled to the left, the tips of her brunette hair getting chard from the beast's fiery breath. "Looks like I'm going to need a haircut later on, if I don't die," she mumbled, ducking behind a stone wall. "Godric, where are my friends when I need them? I swear if they ditched me, I will just jump out and get eaten by this thing right now!"
Picking up a bow from a nearby, unconscious guard, Azalea slipped an arrow in and released it in seconds, sending it flying at the dragon's eye. The beast let out a roar of pain at contact, and before she could react a cloud of fire came rushing towards her. Azalea let out a shriek, shutting her eyes, waiting for the flames to mark their target.
"Need a little help there, Lea?" Dexa questioned, standing between the beast and her friend. Opening her eyes hesitantly, Azalea saw the flames sore over and around their heads. The dragon let out a roar of confusion, and set out another coat of flames. The flames never reached the two, however the flying reptile was striked by a storm of frost. Dexa, who had dropped the invisible bubble around them, had indeed sent a major wave of frost at the beast. Letting out a booming roar of pain, the dragon turned and flew out of what was left of Skyhaven village.
