Is it just me, or does it smell like my dad's sweaty feet in here," Ylva commented, pinching her nose shut as they inched further into the cave.
"Ew, it actually does," Azara gagged.
"Oh shut up, you two," Azalea snapped. "It smells more like Ruth's breath." The three of them giggled while the fourth rolled her eyes.
"Oh, be quiet everyone. Are you seriously trying to wake that thing up before we're even ready to defend ourselves," Dexa snapped, lowering her satchel behind a boulder.
"Sorry, we're just trying to lighten the mood a little bit," Azara apologized, following the suit.
"Maybe you should do that after we're assured that we're not going to die and slow and painful death," Dexa reason, tying her snowy mane into a ponytail. The other two girls placed their bags next the other two, and got their weapons ready.
"S-so, what's the plan," Ylva stuttered, her foggy pupils fixing on the scaly beast, and her amber hair turning a light yellow.
"Well, as we can tell, the dragon is sleeping peacefully ten meters before us. It would be amazing if three of us went from behind and to the side of it while the other distracts it," Azara blurted, looking at the females before him. The oldest turned to the youngest, and her eyes widened in horror.
"No, no, no! You can not expect me to distract that... thing! What if it eats me or something," Ylva exclaimed, shaking her head.
"Ylva, listen, you're the only one who can disguise themselves the best, being an metamorphmagus and everything. Maybe you could just... morph into a chicken or something to keep it distracted for us," Azalea reasoned.
"Who cares if I'm a metamorphmagus! I still have feelings, you know? Why can't one of you do it instead! You're older ," Ylva accused, crossing her arms.
"When you begged us to let you come along with us, that meant you were agreeing to the risk that comes with it. If you want to prove that you are mature and worth our time and effort, you need to do this one thing for us. I promise, I won't let anything happen to you," Dexa spoke, gluing her violet pearls on the upset girl.
Sighing, Ylva muttered, "Fine, but if anything happens to me, I'm telling my mom on you."
"Sounds good to me," Dexa smiled. "Whenever you're ready, just say"
"Wait, what are we going to do," Azalea questioned, starting at Dexa dumbfounded.
"You're going to go at it from the
right, Azara is going to go at it from the left, and I'm going to go at it from behind," Dexa explained, pulling her dagger out her waistband. "We're doing that while Ylva causes a distraction by turning into some animal that with interest it."
"Okay, well, I'm ready if you ladies are," Azara commented, tying his boots quickly.
"I guess, I'm as ready as I'll ever be, but I swear if I die, I will haunt you for the rest of your lives," Ylva sighed, narrowing her eyes.
"We love you too, Ylva," Azalea
grinned, crouching down, moving to the beast's right side. Ylva made a face, mocking Azalea, before sighing and trying to figure out what to change into.
