"I can't heal you any further." Sebastian says, I can tell he's surprised just by the tone of his voice.
"Why do you sound so surprised?" I sit up and face him, his eyes are bright pink and wide, filled with confusion.
"Did Claude put anything on the whip?" I shake my head no, his eyes return to crimson.
"Not that I know of," Sebastian growls and takes his gloves off, I raise an eyebrow at his action. "Why'd you take your gloves off?"
"I think there may have been something on the whip that you didn't know of, if there was I'll be able to tell because where it's affecting my ability to heal you, it'll affect me as well."
"You're not going to risk getting yourself hurt. What if it's some sort of poison made to kill demons?" Sebastian chuckles.
"Then Claude wouldn't have touched the whip. There may have been salt on the end of the whip. If it's in your wounds, I'll be able to tell if I touch them without my gloves on, it'll irritate my skin."
"But you already stitched them up?" Sebastian chuckles again.
"The skin is still affected, just bear with me, it'll hurt quite a bit." I lay back down on my stomach and he gently unwraps my back. "I'm going to touch them now." I nod and bite my lip, trying to prepare myself for the searing pain that will follow.
He runs his fingers along the lashes, I bite my lip harder in an attempt to stop a scream of pain from escaping. As he continued to run touch my back, I hear him hiss slightly.
"They have salt in them, I'll bring someone in here to clean these even further, I can't, salt burns my skin." I nod and he gently kisses the back of my head. "I'll be right back."
Sebastian no more than says that and we hear a knock on the door, he gets off the bed and the door opens.
"My Lord," I hear Sebastian say, I try to look over my shoulder, but I'm unable to see anything due to the bandages on my now ruined eye. "Sit on the bed next to her, she can't see you."
I feel the bed dip and Ciel comes into my line of view with his blue eye filled with worry, I lift my head up a bit to see him better and smile faintly.
"You're back," Ciel says and gasps, I manage a weak smile and lay my head back up against the pillow.
"I know, it was even worse before Sebastian healed me."
"Healed you?" Ciel looks at Sebastian who I feel sit on the other side of me and starts running his fingers through my hair. "Aren't you able to heal her the rest of the way?"
"Unfortunately not, the wounds are coated in salt and it's preventing me from healing them completely. I need your help with something young master, if it's not too much of a problem that is."
"What is it?"
"I can't touch them without my gloves on, salt burns my skin, I need you to clean them. Could you do that my Lord?"
"I'll need you to tell me what to do but, yes, I'll clean them." I feel Sebastian get off the bed and hear him walk about the room. "Is your eye alright Yasmine?"
"No, I can't see out of it." Ciel shakes his head and looks at me with pity in his eyes.
"You've been through so much in the past month, it's not right." I laugh and smile.
"I'm strong, I'll be fine." Sebastian sits across from Ciel and hands him a washcloth and a bowl of water.
"You need to wet the cloth and dab the whip lashes so the salt will be cleaned out of them, Yasmine it's going to hurt so I'm going to hold you down, alright?" I nod and Sebastian leans down and kisses my temple before putting one hand on the back of my neck and laying an arm on the back of my legs.
"Are you ready Yasmine?" Ciel asks, I look up at him and nod. "I apologize if I hurt you too much." Ciel gets the cloth wet and places it on one of the gashes, I scream as a searing hot pain bursts through my back. Sebastian holds me down as I try to arch my back in pain.
"I'm almost done Yasmine, just hold on." I manage to nod and Ciel continues cleaning the wounds. "All done, I'll go so you two can have your privacy."
"Thank you young master." I say as Ciel gets up and walks out of the room, Sebastian takes Ciel's spot on the bed so he's in my line of view, I look up at him and smile a bit.
"I'm going to try to heal you again, I'm not sure if it'll work." I nod and whimper loudly when Sebastian starts touching my back, running his fingers along the gashes slowly. The pain starts to fade the longer he touches them, before long I don't feel any pain. "They're completely healed, the stitches were also removed as I healed them so your back is fine."
I sit up and turn around before hugging him, burying my face in his shoulder with my arms wrapped around him tightly. He nuzzles his cheek against mine affectionately and wraps his arms around me, holding me close to his body.
"Thank you Sebby," I kiss his cheek and he pulls back a bit to look me in the eyes, I smile and he kisses my nose causing me to blush.
"I love you Yasmine and before you even ask, I still think you're beautiful even with your eye being injured that way. Yes, it'll leave a scar and you'll most likely be blind in that eye for eternity but I still love you, I always will." I smile and he puts his forehead against mine, I wince a bit and he pulls back.
"I love you too Sebastian," We both smile and he kisses my forehead lightly.
"Get some sleep, I'll be right here." I nod and we both lay down, I lay my head on his chest with my bandaged eye facing the ceiling, I wrap my arms around him and nuzzle my cheek against his chest. He loops an arm around me and holds my side as he pulls me a bit closer to him. I yawn and he kisses my the top of my head before I welcome the black abyss of sleep.
