Lance was funny!

He always cheered me up!

And I was glad that he learned so quickly.

But I knew he was quickly fading away.

Which meant that his funny and happy um is the word personality was fading away.

I started to swim back to my cave.

I swam in and saw a crying Lance.

"Lance?!" I said swimming up to him.

He didn't stop crying.

"Stop crying!! It hurts your scales!!" I said wiping his tears.

I saw my red scales disappearing from my finger tips when I touched his tears.

"K-Keith?" He said hugging me.

I smiled.

"Shh...it's okay..." I said playing with his hair.

He let go of me and a sad smile speared on his face.

"I miss home...I want to go home.." he whispered.

My eyes widened. He was gonna leave me...

"Lance...I will take you home, but we can't right now...I am sorry." I said looking at the sand on the sea ground.

"It's fine..I know it's not the best time to do it right now..." he said.

I smiled.

I didn't have friends so I didn't want to lose the most important friend I have.

I changed the subfish I mean subject right? These English words are weird.

"Want to go to the um library we have?" I said smiling at him.

His face lit up with so much joy.

"I would love that!" He said blushing slightly.

So when you blush it turns to the color of your fish scales.

So his blush was blue.

I smiled feeling heat to my face.

"Let's go!!" I said swimming out of the cave.

He followed me.

When we got there we rushed inside.

I haven't been here in a while so I was slightly surprised.

"How do your books not get wet?" Lance said looking at me.

"Oh! We use this type of magic I forgot what it is called...? But alteans helped us with this magic.." I said.

"That's cool! But are alteans still here?" He said touching one of the books.

"Yep! The queen and king and princess or alteans!" I said swimming around.

"That's awesome!" Lance said grabbing one of the books.

I felt heat to my face again.

I just smiled.

"I know."
