Your POV
"Nope, but when we go shopping for sunglasses we'll go to the mall and get you an outfit for the BBQ ok?" Hayes said.
"Alright, I guess." I make a sad face, but he just laughs.
"Nice try, (last name) but pouty faces don't work on me. Nash maybe, but not me."
Because I was too distracted by talking to Hayes, I completely forgot Nash was even there.
"Alright, lovebirds wrap it up. (Y/n), get off me."
"Like that's gonna happen! You gotta tell me when the BBQ is first."
"Nice try birthday girl, but you're not getting the date of the party until you come out and hey! We're all here and what do ya know, it's a BBQ!"
I groaned, and slowly release Nash.
"Geez, it's already five, what do you guys wanna do?" Hayes asked, still on the porch. I walk over and smile my sweetest smile at him, and he just smiles back, not even pausing to wonder what's going on.Nash's POV
I think Hayes really likes (y/n), cause literally anyone can see past this trick. She's tried this millions of times with me, and it never works. Funny thing is, she definitely likes him. I can see it in her eyes, the way they light up whenever he's around. I'd be so psyched if they started dating, they're literally perfect for each other.
Your POV
He has no clue what I'm doing, how is this possible??? Nash definitely knows what's going on, I can feel his smirk. Apparently I've got an advantage because Hayes is literally clueless.
Hayes's POV
Dang, I love it when she smiles like that. She looks like an angel, sent straight from heaven. I am falling for her so hard! I hope she likes me, cause I love her. The way her beautiful hair falls around her shoulders, her eyes are always sparkling, night and day, dark and light, always. I can't wait for the BBQ, I'm gonna try to hang out with her as much as possible. If I can't get her to be my girlfriend by the time the summer's over, I'll be devastated.
Your POV
He literally has no clue what's going on!!! What the heck is he thinking about? I mean, I hope it's about me but still, he's completely out of it. I'm about three feet away, so I poke him in the arm and yell, "Tag!!! You're it!!!" so Nash and I take off running. When we're a good distance away, I turn around to see if he started running. Nope! He's still on the porch, with one of his hands up in the air, the other holding the ice pack against his eye, and a mixed expression on his face. He looked like he was trying to be mad at me, but kept smiling instead. Nash looked over at me and said, "Well I guess we'll have to find something else to do, a game of tag with two people isn't much fun!" For whatever reason he said the last part in a British accent, which made me laugh. As I looked back at Hayes, who we had started walking back to, I could've sworn I saw a hint of jealousy on his face. I shrugged it off, though.
Hayes's POV
I can't play tag with them, I don't know what (y/n) was thinking. Then again, she's just trying to get me to have some fun after I got a black eye today. As they're walking back, Nash says something that makes her laugh. I can't help but feel jealous, and I try to hide it from my face but something tells me (y/n) saw it. That could be good, cause I need her to know that I like her. Tomorrow when we go to the mall, I want to make her laugh or smile thirty times or more.
