Alessia's POV
Minho has had my back ever since we left the group, a month ago. I was lucky to have someone like Minho by my side as we searched for others. We were just walking as we heard shouting. "That sounds like Thomas," I stated. "Come on." We snuck up on the hill and looked. "Janson found them." He pulled a gun on Thomas. "Janson!" I ran in front of Thomas and the gun. "You shoot him and it's all over."
"What's to stop me from killing all of you?" Janson asked as he put the gun on my chest, near my heart. "I can kill you at point blank range in front of your boyfriend so I can watch him suffer as you drop."
"I've made contact," I lied. "You kill me, they'll find my body, and they'll know who did this." I looked Janson in the eyes. "You have an army coming and you're not going to like what they do when they find you."
"How do I know you'll even let me go, alive?" Janson asked.
"We'll make you a deal," I replied.
"I'll depend if I'll take the deal," Janson stated.
"You don't need them," I replied. "I can reconstruct the serum in your lab without his blood."
"What?" Minho asked.
"They go free and you take me," I sighed. "You won't be harmed."
"Alessia, no," Thomas replied.
"You don't hurt them, they won't hurt you," I replied.
"Get rid of your weapon," Janson replied. "Get rid of all your gadgets."
"Under the condition that I get to keep my book," I sighed.
"Fine," Janson sighed as he kept his gun on me. I threw my gun to the ground and dropped my backpack on the ground after I grabbed my book. I looked at Thomas and handed him a tracker. A plane started landing behind Janson. "We don't have all day!"
"Just let me say goodbye," I sighed.
"Hurry," Janson stated.
"Remember the bracelet you gave me on the first day we got together?" I asked.
"Yeah," Thomas nodded.
"Use it," I smiled as I hugged Thomas. I whispered in his ear, "I put a track in it. Push the green button to let me know you've found where I am."
"Be careful," Thomas looked at me.
"Hurry up," Janson sighed, annoyed. "We gotta get going."
"Just a second," I sighed. "I know I can count on you guys." I gave Thomas a kiss. "I'll see you later." I followed Janson onto the plan and we were in the air. "The army has been called off."
"Good," Janson spun around in his chair. "We're going to take very good care of you at WCKD."
"As long as I can have my book everywhere with me," I sighed as I held my book close.
"What's so special about that book?"
"Do you remember Newt?"
"The one that speaks with a British accent?"
"Yes," I rolled my eyes.
"He died."
"Maybe so but I have three years worth of memories in here that no one can take away from me. I won't let anyone take it away from me. Not even you." We got to the building that was built for WCKD. We walked inside. "You still have immunes?"
"We didn't lose all of them," Janson smiled.
"You're a sick bastard, you know that?"
"So I've been told," Janson nodded. He showed me around and to me room. "Hopefully this keeps you on your feet."
"Yeah, my own little apartment in a prison," I replied. Janson left and closed the door. I laid in bed and put my book under my pillow. "I'm going to need some sleep."

*Dream*
"Alessia," a voice behind me stated. A familiar voice. I turned around and there he was. "I'm glad I get to see you again."
"Newt," I smiled. we embraced each other. "I've missed your hugs."
"I know," Newt nodded as he let go of me. "Let's take a walk." He clasped his right hand with my left and started walking. "Alessia, I know I left you in the dark."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want you to worry."
"Newt, I worry about everything. Especially if it's about you. I was worried when you left and I was really worried when you didn't come back."
"At least it wasn't a total loss. You got Minho back."
"But I lost you," I nodded. "I'll rather have you both back rather than one or the other." We sat on a rock. "I was really looking forward to spending time with you when you got back. Especially when I found out you were going to propose." I sighed. "There's so many things I wanted to tell you."
"You can tell me now," Newt replied.
"It's not the same. You're not here to guide me. You're not here to help me solve the situation, physically. I miss having you around."
"What about the guys? You dating one of them?"
"Thomas, the guy you'll follow anywhere. He's crossed a line once or twice but he's trying."
"He's the one who stayed behind to help me. He didn't want me to be a crank. He wanted me to be alive and well."
"So you could come back to me," I nodded. "Thomas was one of the guys who knew how much you mean to me other than Vince."
"Do you talk to the other guys?"
"Gally's full of sarcastic bullshit, Frypan is always to himself, and Minho...he's the only one who's keeping me sane."
"But you don't have anyone to talk to," Newt nodded.
"Right, other than Minho."
"Alessia," Newt looked at me.
"Newt, stop."
"I'm just saying you literally jumped the ship when you gave yourself up to Janson just to protect the boys."
"You saw that?"
"Alessia, I'm watching," Newt nodded. "I'm in your dreams right now."
"This isn't a place I've been to before."
"This is the safe heaven I've always dreamt of. A place just for you and me."
"Well, it's beautiful," I looked around. "I would love it here."
"That's why i dreamt of it for us," Newt smiled. "Come here." He kissed me. "I've missed your lips."
"I've missed everything about you, Newt. Thomas and I shared a couple of kisses, but they were nothing like yours."
"I guess it's easy to say that I was your first love."
"First everything," I smiled.
"Well, it's now time for you to wake up," Newt replied as we stood up. "Janson is sending a boy to your room. When Thomas and our guys saves you, take the boy with you. He's one of the immune who is staying alive to stay alive himself."
"Anything for you," I nodded.
"Be careful in there," Newt nodded. "You always know how to take care of others. Now, it's time for you to take care of yourself."
*End Dream*

My eyes fluttered open to see a boy standing in the door way. I sat up in bed. "Who are you?" I asked.
"Are you Alessia?" he asked.
"Who are you?" I asked again.
"Colby," he nodded. "Colby Brock."
"I'm Alessia," I sighed.
"Mr. Janson sent me here to let you know that he's got something for you," Colby replied. "Whatever that something is."
"Thank you," I nodded. He left a doctor's coat on my bed and left the room. I took a shower, got changed, and put on the lab coat. I left the room and I had no idea where I was going. I wandered around for a good twenty five minutes before I found Janson. "Janson, I'm going to need my own personal guide to help me get where I need to go."
"I sent Colby to get you," Janson replied. "Where have you been?"
"I had to shower and change," I replied. "Colby just woke me up, gave me this coat, and left."
"I'll talk to him later," Janson sighed. "You and Colby aren't that different."
"Are you trying to play matchmaker now?"
"He's an immune just like you. Except, he willingly surrendered so he would not get killed. You and Colby are going to spend a lot of time together in here."
"Great," I sighed.
"You're going to reconstruct a chemical serum with the vile that Teresa left you," Janson replied.
"I can't."
"You can and you will."
"No, Janson. I can't. The vile that contained the serum has already been used."
"What?!"
"Brian used it on himself."
"You're gonna wish you kept that vile when I show you this," Janson replied. He took me to a restricted area. It looked like we were in a cemented room, lined in lead. "Open the door." The door opened to reveal Newt, as a crank. Banging on the glass. "He's going to be a crank forever now. Unless you change your mind about reconstructing the serum."
"Newt," I stated. I ran up to the glass. I knew he wouldn't recognize me but as least I knew he wasn't fully dead. "I'll do it." I turned around to look at Janson. "I'll reconstruct the serum, but only if Colby will help me."
"How long?" Janson asked.
"It's going to take a couple months for the chemicals to subside and be what I need it to be," I sighed. "It's not going to be from Thomas' blood but it'll work the same way."
"Great," Janson smiled. The door closed as Colby walked in. "Colby, take Miss Alessa to her lab. You'll be working with her."
"Yes sir," Colby nodded. "Come on." Colby and I went to a lab. I closed the door. "So you know how to make the serum?"
"Kind of," I sighed. "I need blood. Just any immuned person will do."
"Try me," Colby replied.
"No way," I nodded. "I'm not asking you of that."
"It's okay," Colby sighed.
"Okay," I replied. I took some of his blood and started doing tests. "That's weird."
"What?" Colby asked.
"Your blood is like someone else's that I know of," I stated. "But it's going to take some time. Depending on how much Janson wants."
"As much as you can get," Janson walked in.
"Okay," I sighed. "It's going to take me a couple months to get a good thirty."
"Get to work," Janson replied. "I'll check in on you from time to time."
"Okay," I nodded. He left. "Colby, do you ever wish to be free?"
"A dream that I'll never see unless WCKD is destroyed."
"Well, this dream you'll see it come true," I smiled as I looked at him. "And I hope it's really soon."
