Alessia's POV
"I love you too," I smiled.
"Where are you headed?" Newt asked.
"Well, you've got to take a shower before seeing anyone," I looked at him. "Just be careful, okay?"
Yeah, yeah, yeah," Newt waved me off.
"Yeah, you're feeling better," I smiled. My phone beeped and I looked at it. "I gotta go. Meet me at the City Kitchen." I grabbed my doctor's coat and put it on. "I have an emergency to attend to." I ran to the room Colby sent me. "Seriously?"
"Hey, Alessia," Thomas sighed.
"What did you do?" I asked as I put on latex gloves. "Now that it's something new."
"I got a gash on my left hand."
"At least it's not your dominant hand."
"Yeah."
"Well, let's get you stitched up," I replied. I stitched up his hand and bandaged it. "There we go."
"You're a good doctor."
"Thank you," I smiled. "How's Vince doing with Evie?"
"Who?"
"Evie is my daughter. That's what Newt named her."
"Oh, he's doing fine. Trying to be a good grandfather to her."
"Well, go to the City Kitchen and get ready. Newt should be done getting ready by now."
"Okay," Thomas sighed as I took off my gloves and threw them out. "Thank you."
"No problem," I nodded. I went to the penthouse and Newt was buttoning up his shirt. I took off my coat and put it on the hook. "I like you're shirt."
"You did this for me," Newt smiled. "Who was in pain?"
"Thomas cut his hand opened," I shrugged. "He'll be okay."
"Is that what you're wearing?" Newt asked.
"I've been in scrubs all day."
"You're not wearing scrubs to my welcome back party."
"Who told you?"
"You're calendar," Newt pointed. "Maybe you shouldn't leave notes like that on there."
"I'm too organized."
"Here," Newt handed me a garment bag. "You can wear this to the party."
"Okay," I smiled. I went to the bathroom and changed. I walked back out. "Seriously, Newt?"

"I think you look dashing," Newt smiled

"I think you look dashing," Newt smiled.
"You would be the one to have a dress to match the one pair of heels I have in the back of my closet."
"I already got them," Newt held up the heels. "Sit." I did and Newt put my heels on for me. "There we go."

"Thanks

"Thanks."
"Let's go," Newt replied. He held out his arm. "You gonna take it?" I felt his forehead. "What are you doing?"
"Checking to see if you have a fever," I smiled. He just kissed me. "I'm just checking because you've changed, in a good way." We went to the City Kitchen and one seat was empty. "Who didn't show up?" I walked to the seat and picked up the name plate. "Minho..." I showed it to Newt. "Anyone know where he is?"
"He just left the gate with his weapons," Jorge replied. "Threatened to shoot us if we didn't let him go."
"Did he say why?" I asked.
"Keeping a difficult promise is hard when the guy who told him to keep this promise is alive," Brenda replied. "Tell the happy couple I'm sorry but I have to go my own way."
"I know," Newt sighed.
"What promise did you and Minho make?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter because it was only a promise I be kept if I was dead," Newt replied.
"What was the promise?" I asked.
"That Minho was to be the one to be your boyfriend if I had died," Newt replied. "Except you started dating Thomas instead."
"You can't promise someone to be with someone if the other doesn't feel the same," I pointed. "I'm sorry, Newt, but that shouldn't have been made a promise in the first place." Vince walked in with Evie. "I enjoy your party." I walked out as I grabbed Evie from Vince. I went to the penthouse and changed into some pajamas. I fed Evie and put her down for a nap. "Sometimes, Evie, you have to take matters into your own hands."
"Alessia," said a voice near my door. I looked. "I didn't mean to startle you."
"Minho," I looked at him. "I thought you left."
"I came back but I'll be leaving soon," Minho replied. "I couldn't leave without telling you why."
"Minho, I know about the promise that you kept for Newt and I know it was your secret to keep," I sighed. "But I don't feel the same way about you. I'm sorry. You're like a big brother I me." Minho nodded, understanding but in heartbreak. "I'm so sorry." Evie started crying. I turned to her crib. "If it means anything, you're always family." I picked up Evie and rocked her and I turned to face Minho again but he was gone. "You always have a home here."

A/N: I think it's come to an end. I tried but it was only a little short story so I couldn't keep it going on any longer. I hope you enjoyed. There's going to be a new story in the next couple of weeks that I will be releasing during spring break. So stay tuned. Happy reading! Xoxo ~Alexis
