Uppsala was going to be the first festival and sacrifice Kari had been to since she was a young girl, this was going to be the perfect time to show the gods her allegiance, although she sensed she already had them in her favour.
"Oh he is such a delicious chunk of man" Kari whispered to Helga as she walked, Hjalmar walked ahead beside Torstein. "Then why don't you make a move, show him you're interested" Helga spoke curiously "Well because I find his friends to be just as gorgeous. But that's no matter, I am sure I will be having lots of fun tonight" she grinned as she could see that they were quickly approaching their destination.
Helga mentioned something but the words fell quiet on Kari's ears as the holy grounds came into view, quickening in pace she made her way through the grounds, pushing past others towards the temple and as she stepped through the threshold fell to her knees, her eyes locking with the statue in the centre of the room. Odin. As if the man she saw stood before her, her eyes churned a light ocean blue, almost glowing as she could swear he spoke to her. Floki walked up beside Kari, kneeling beside her "I know you see him, I know you are with the gods, they will be here with us all soon to relish in the festivities" he whispered to her, Kari's eyes remained locked on the statue before as if she had awoken from a dream unlocked as she turned to Floki. "They are already with us Floki, the gods are here and they bring with them their blessings" she spoke excitedly, standing she quickly hurried across the room, a holy man spraying Kari's face with blood, he looked deep into her eyes and smiled "You. He favours you. Your heart is good" he spoke, before moving along and flicking blood on the priest Athelstan's face. Kari looked at the priest, his eyes avoided hers and he walked away. He couldn't fool her, this Viking facade he was perpetuating was going to come to an end. He needed to make the choice of who he was soon, or his fate would be sealed.Kari saw the others talking the carvings of the gods around the room, she didn't need to bother the others with petty wishes, she needed only speak to one. Making her way to the centre of the room, she crossed the stepping stones to meet the carving of Odin. "Father, Odin, you have blessed me with far more than any Viking can ask. I truly only ask for one thing. Bring me to my father, let me find him. Wherever he may be, be it with you in your halls, or somewhere in this world. I wish to see him just once more, my lord" she left her prayer and walked over to Helga who was preparing some food for tonight. Sitting down with Helga and Floki she couldn't help overhear Siggy talking to Rollo "Isn't it wonderful to be here together" she smiled, Rollo looked at her with love he knew he should feel for her "Yes, and we are going to enjoy every moment" Kari could throw up with that kind of sappy nonsense, her eye roll made Floki laugh. Rollo brought some meat over to Helga and sat down beside Kari, his hands covered in the blood from the meat "You ever been to one of these Helga?" Rollo asked "No, but i have heard stories" she smirked "And they're all true" Rollo returned her devilish smirk, "how about you Kari?" Floki asked "Yes but I was only very young, my Father brought me, but- I know what happens here and I am definitely excited" she grinned, her eyes crossing the room glance at Hjalmar.
Rollo caught her glance "Hate to break your heart but I spoke to Hjalmar on the way here, turns out, he's interested in Bryn" he spoke nudging her shoulder with his own "That's only because I haven't shown him any interest" Kari winked "If you say so" Rollo chuckled "Well if he isn't interested I have someone else in mind" she grinned, her eyes crossing the room to a curious Athelstan "Who?" Floki butted in "Athelstan" Kari said bluntly, Helga couldn't help but chuckle at Floki's face when he heard. "Disgusting. He's a Christian, you know that" Rollo growled "And good in the sack I bet... unless you think you're better" Kari winked, Rollo blushing slightly, Siggy overhearing and looking over concerned. "Anyway, I have a priest to seduce, I'll be off to let you all enjoy your meal" Kari stood up and straightened out her dress, stepping past Rollo who looked annoyed and making her way over to Athelstan, who stood looking at the carvings with Ragnar.
