Chapter 3:

Barry opened the door for Iris and they walked into Jitters.

They quickly ordered two 'Flashes' then looked around for a table.

"Barry! Iris!"

Sitting at a table, Felicity was waving them over. She sat next to Oliver with several other people surrounding them.

"Hey guys."

Felicity stood up and gave them both a hug, and Oliver smiled serenely.

"Hi Felicity," Barry smiled. "Hi Oliver. What brings you guys to Central City?"

"Well we needed to talk to Cisco and Caitlin," said Felicity.

"And we heard that Mercedes was in town," finished Oliver. "Her tour doesn't stop in Star City."

"Anyway," said Felicity. "Barry, Iris, this is Jesse, Blaine and Blaine's daughter Elizabeth."

"Barry Allen," said Barry. "And this is my wife, Iris."

Elizabeth was holding a bottle of juice and a teddy bear. Her blue eyes were wide as she looked at them and her brown hair was in a braid. She looked about four years old. Jesse had his hands around his coffee mug and he smiled politely. Blaine had all of his hair gelled back and was looked at Barry with a frown. It was the Music Meister.

Barry watched him carefully, but the Music Meister - Blaine - didn't seem to recognise him without his Flash suit on.

"That is really freaky," Blaine said.

"What?" asked Iris, on edge.

"Sorry it's just, you look exactly like a kid I used to go to school with."

"That is freaky," said Felicity.

Barry's stomach lurched and glanced over at Iris.

"Do happen to be from Ohio?" he asked, tentatively.

"Yeah," said Blaine, confused. "Why?"

"Does this friend from school happen to be called Sebastian?"

"Yeah."

Barry groaned, leaned forward and banged his head on the table.

"Is something wrong Barry?" asked Oliver.

"Yes," Barry sighed looking up again. "The universe must hate me."

"Barry," Iris murmured. "Do you want me to explain?"

"No," Barry muttered. "I'll do it."

"Explain what?" asked Jesse.

"Right." Barry rubbed his eyes. "Amelia and John Smythe are my Aunt and Uncle."

"So you and Sebastian are cousins?" asked Blaine.

"No," said Barry unhappily. "When I was eleven my mother was murdered and my dad was convicted of killing her."

"I don't understand why we need to know this," said Blaine.

"Over the next year," said Barry, ignoring Blaine. "There were periods of time when I wouldn't be able to remember anything. Like I could remember going to school but I wouldn't be able to remember actually going in the car. When I was twelve years old I was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder."

"Dissociative Identity Disorder is also known as Multiple Personality Disorder," Iris put in.

Felicity had this look of dawning understanding on her face.

"In school I was bullied constantly for being weird and a murderer's son. It got so bad that I would have broken bones and there were death threats as well. So when I was sixteen I moved to Ohio to stay with my aunt and uncle."

Oliver was starting to understand as well.

"My mom's murder was so popular that even people in Ohio had heard about it. So when I moved there i changed my name to Smythe."

Blaine looked like he was beginning to understand too.

"Unfortunately, when I was signing the papers that would change my name, I was not actually the one writing. My other... identity... was."

"Sebastian," said Blaine in understanding.

"Yes," said Barry. "Sebastian was a name that my mom liked so I named my other identity Sebastian when I was twelve. When I was in Ohio Sebastian was in control for most of the time. He is a also a bit of prick. I can remember that I went to Dalton Academy in Westerville and general things like that, but I can't remember anything like, what friends that I may have made, what clubs I joined. I am hoping I did nothing really bad, but by the look on your face that did not happen." Barry sighed as he looked at the bitter look on Blaine's face. "What did I do?"

"You nearly blinded me," said Blaine matter of factly.

"Oh gosh."

"You threw a slushy in my face and there was rock salt in it. I had to have surgery to fix the rip in my cornea."

Barry grimaced. "I am so sorry. I can't remember anything. Like I said Sebastian was a prick."

"Was?" asked Felicity. "Past tense?"

"Sebastian has not come out since the lightning," said Iris. "We think he might have been shocked out."

"Lightning?" asked Jesse.

"I got struck by lightning a few years ago," said Barry. "I was in a coma for nine months."

Blaine looked at Barry again, slight shock on his face. Barry looked him in the eye, smirked then 'absentmindedly' hummed a few bars of 'Put a Little Love in Your Heart'.

"Well," said Blaine, shaking himself out of his stupor. "If Sebastian has vanished maybe we can start over." He Held his hand out. "Blaine Anderson. And this is my daughter Lizzy."

Barry suddenly heard a voice inside his head. "Supergirl was on this earth for her high school years. An experiment gone wrong. She took the name Marley Rose. My real name is Blaine Anderson. No one knows that I'm an alien. Definitely not my husband and daughter. Please don't tell anyone."

Barry smiled and shook Blaine's hand. "Barry Allen."
