The Universe Hates Me

Chapter 6

Chapter 6:

Barry and Kara sped back into S.T.A.R. Labs. Kara had destroyed all of the drones and Barry had dropped General Eiling off in a holding cell at the precinct.

As they walked into the cortex they heard the unmistakable sound of music. They recognised the song. It was Super Friends.

They walked into the cortex and saw all the New Directioners watching one of the screens where there was a YouTube video of the performance they did in their musical dream.

"What is going on?" said Barry.

"Where did you get that?" asked Kara, before rounding on Blaine. "How did they get that? It was a dream!"

"I have no idea," said Blaine, holding his hands up. "Kurt just asked Cisco to search it when you said that you were coming back."

"Is that you?" asked Kitty. "When was that? And where?"

"That," said Kara. "Is us, last year in the rehearsal room of a club."

"And what is with this?" asked Jake, gesturing to the Supergirl suit.

"Well," said Kara, taking out her glasses. "I am Supergirl! And I am also from a different planet in a different dimension." She finished the sentence in a mutter.

"You're from a different planet?" cried Sam.

"You're from a different dimension?" asked Brittany. "The multiverse theory is true?"

"Oh, it's true," said Cisco. "This Earth is the 'centre' Earth. Earth 1. Kara is from Earth 38. Barry, and I have been to Earth 2. And we're all evil! Except for Barry. On Earth 2 he's a dork!"

"Oh, shut up!" said Barry, changing out of his suit quickly.

"If you're from a different dimension," said Artie, looking at Kara. "Why were you here on Earth 1 at McKinley?"

"My adoptive parents, Eliza and Jeremiah, are scientists," she said, also changing out of her suit. "So they were doing an experiment while is was in the same room. Something went wrong and I was sucked into a portal and fell out on Earth 1."

"So what is this?" asked Kurt gesturing to the video.

"Last year," said Kara. "My boyfriend, Mon-el of Daxam, and I were having problems. And then the DEO, the Department of Extra-normal Operations who work with the aliens on Earth 38, were bringing in an unusual prisoner. When he came in, he began to talk to me, then he, what word did you use Barry, whammied me. And Mon-el and J'onn, the last green martian alive, brought me here to Earth 1, because before he left he said he was going to look for the fastest man alive."

Blaine had backed into the corner of the room and was sitting on the floor staring at his hands.

"So, they came here and we were going to try to help when the Music Meister, that's the name Cisco gave him, whammied me."

Blaine smiled at the name Music Meister, but frowned when Barry mentioned getting whammied.

"So both Barry and I were trapped in a dream, where we were in a musical with no powers. So I wasn't bullet-proof and Barry didn't have his super speed," said Kara. "My friend Winn was a pianist, and Mon-el was a gang leader's son."

"Cisco worked in the club, we had to sing in," said Barry. "The man who owned the club was Malcolm Merlyn, who was the head of the League of Assassins. He was Mon-el's 'Dad'. Joe was a gang leader, and was married to our friend Professor Martin Stein. Iris was their daughter and she and Mon-el were together. Which was bad because they were part of rival gangs."

"What songs did you have to sing?" asked Elizabeth.

"I had to do a solo," said Kara, picking Lizzy up, then floating in the air making the little girl giggle. "Moon River."

"Then the rest of the 'cast' sang a song called 'Put A Little Love In Your Heart'," said Barry. "The gang leaders, Joe, Stein and Merlyn, sang a song to their 'children' called 'More I Cannot Wish You'. And the last song was 'Super Friends'."

"So how did you get out of the dream?" asked Quinn.

"Mon-el and Iris came into the dream," said Kara. "I don't know how, but them being there brought us out of it."

"How did they get into your dream?" asked Puck.

"I Vibed them," said Cisco. "We're nearly all Metahumans on Team Flash here. Only Joe, Iris and Harry aren't. And they can still kick ass. Caitlin has an alter ego called Killer Frost, Wally is Kid Flash, and Ralph is the Elongated Man. His cells can stretch and alter entirely. I can basically manipulate the dimensions. I can see different things that have happened, are happening or are going to happen.

"I'm so sorry," Blaine whispered.

Everyone looked over at him. He was sat in the corner, his knees pulled up to his chest and his head hurried into his hands. "I'm so sorry. You almost died! I'm so sorry."

"Blaine," said Kurt. "What are you talking about?"

Blaine looked up at his husband, his eyes filled with tears. "Im so sorry for lying Kurt. I thought you would hate me," he whispered.

"Blaine?" said Rachel. "What did you lie about? Why would we hate you?"

Blaine looked at his friend. His eyes pulsed slightly and Rachel stumbled. "Because im the Music Meister. I'm the one who put them in that musical dream."

"Your an alien?" said Jesse, doubtfully.

"No," said Blaine. "My species is all but extinct. I'm from another dimension than both this earth and Earth 38. I'm the only one left."

"Except for me!" cried Lizzy. "I can make my eyes go funny too!"

All of the New Directioners looked at the little girl. Lizzy looked around at them all as her eyes pulsed green.

"Lizzy," said Blaine, sharply. "Don't! You'll hurt them. You don't know how to control it."

Lizzy looked over at her father. "Ok," she said brightly.

"I'm assuming that this is why I've never met your parents?" asked Kurt gently.

"Kurt, I haven't even met my parents," said Blaine.

Kurt moved to sit beside Blaine. "I don't get why you thought I would hate you. It's not like your some space criminal."

Blaine smiled weakly. "You're not mad?" he whispered.

"Oh, you're definitely sleeping on the sofa for the next month," Kurt smirked. "But I'm not that mad."

Blaine smiled then leaned against Kurt with his eyes closed. "Thank you," he whispered.
