Tae told me to meet him on the Royal Palace hill after his training the next day. I awaited there for almost an hour until he finally came.

"You're late." I groaned.

"And you will not address your instructor with rudeness." Tae narrowed his eyes and pointed at me.

"Huh? Chill. You're only going to show me a few tips and tricks-"

"No I'm going to teach you how to fight. It's either my way, or you can find someone else." He shrugged with sass.

"Fine, Tae-"

"You mean Master Tae." He corrected me.

"You have GOT to be kidding me." I huffed.

He narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms, indicating he wasn't.

"Fine. Sorry, Master Tae. I look forward to the lesson today." I bowed down in respect.

Tae claps. "Now that's how you address your instructor."

I roll my eyes. "So Master Tae, what are we doing first?"

"Hmm... give me a piggy back ride." Tae commanded me.

"What the heck, Tae have you lost your mind-"

"Ahem. You mean Master Tae," Tae corrected me again.

"Master Tae, you are being absolutely ridiculous. How will carrying you around teach me the ways to fight in combat?" I questioned his strange way of thinking.

"I'll tell you when you give me a piggy back ride." Tae demanded.

I roll my eyes and immediately comply to his request. I bent down low enough so he could climb on. It wasn't a surprise that he was pretty light because he was the shortest and skinniest out of all of us. He wraps his arms around my torso like a koala.

"So please explain your logic, Master Tae." I grimaced while saying so.

"Very well, my child. First, for the training, we need to build your strength and endurance." Tae says.

"I'm already strong and fit enough. Look at how easily I'm carrying you!" I exclaimed, raising him higher in the air.

"I don't count- a toddler could even pick me up," Tae pointed out.

"How long are we even gonna train like this for?" I whined.

"For as long as I say so." Tae answers, matter-of-factly.

"You're absolutely crazy." I️ shake my head.

"Do not disrespect your master that way. And let me further explain my logic."

I sigh and nod. "Yes, Master Tae."

I can hear Tae cackling like a hyena after I call him that.

"The moves that I will teach you are only taught to men who've gone through extreme endurance programs themselves. Meanwhile, your position as a royal female has prevented you from those opportunities."
