Bellamy's POV
"Vincent, I need your help,"
"It's all over the radio. They know about you. Did anyone see you come here?"
"No. Been keeping to the vents and unmonitored halls like you said,"
"Lee"
I see someone coming and I put my gun up to him.
"It's okay! Lee's with us,"
"Dante was like a father to me. Some of us don't agree with Cage's agenda," Lee said.
"Where's Jasper, Monty, and Maya?"
"They're okay. Thanks to Lee, we moved them to a wing that's already been searched."
"Isn't that a risk?"
"We had no choice. They've gone public with what happened on level five. They're saying you killed ten soldiers. I don't know how much longer we can keep this shell game going. Did you take out the acid fog yet?"
"No. No. That's why I'm here. I'm gonna need another route."
"Way ahead of you. You can get there through the retrofit zones. They're off limits. No cameras, no patrols. We used some to move the kids. And that's your other route. You're also gonna need this. An acetylene torch. Go to the NorthWest corridor."
--
"Come in, Raven. I made it. I hope you have a plan,"
"Still working on it. Give us something to go on. What do you see?"
"A huge steel vat. Looks like a submarine. Some other tanks with chemical formulas and warning labels. Bunch of pipes running into the wall. Monitor,"
"Ooh, go to the monitor," Some guy said.
"Hello to you, too," I said as I walked to the monitor
"Don't mind Wick. He's not really helping,"
"Listen, if that monitor is a control panel, we can use it to kill this thing. Look for a pH scale,"
"Right. It has a scale, but the rest... uh. S-3, V-2-O-5, H-2-S-2-O-7. Look, can I just blow this thing?"
"No," Raven said
"No, they'll know their defenses are down. They'll send a tech to fix it or reroute it or pull out some other weapon we don't even know about,"
"Plus, you'd probably melt your face off. Look, you know I like a good explosion, but we gotta think our way through this one. We can do this. Here we go,"
----
We finally got the acid fog down but that was after I blew up the tank. I was now back in the harvest chamber to get the grounders out.
"Get up. It's time to go. I told you I'd come back for you. Come on out. Our people are marching on Mount Weather right now,"
"Hey. It's ok. We're getting you out," I said as I tried to get a guy out but he freaked out.
"Slow down. They just bled him,"
"Listen to me. There's an army inside this room, and I need you to help me get them ready to fight. Can you do that? Good. Start with him," I said handing her the key
They others start shouting.
"Too much noise," I said.
Echo says something in their language and they quieted down.
"Ok. How do we do this?"
"There's an army outside going for the main door. When they get it open, all hell will break loose. That is the signal for my friends to come here, and..."
"My fellow citizens, this is your president speaking. I have news to share with you that will change all of our lives forever. For 97 years, Mount Weather has been our home. It's kept us alive, but it has also held us captive. Most of us have made peace with what we've had to do to survive. We've done these things for one reason... so that our people could someday return to the ground. That day is today,"
"He's going public,"
"Before my friend Lorelei Tsing was murdered by the outsiders still at large in this mountain, she found a cure. It was in their bone marrow,"
"I'll be back,"
"Where are you going?"
"He's trying to get his people to turn on each other. They'll find my friends. I have to bring them here now. I'll send them in groups. You get your people ready to go, but you wait for me to come back, do you understand?"
"Wait! Thank you,"
"You free your people. Protect mine when they get here. We can thank each other when we're all outside,"
----
When I got back there, all the grounders were gone.
"Where are they?" Jasper asked.
"I don't know," I said.
"Let get you and Maya out of here," I added.
Since I let Echo have the key, I ran out to get my friends and a guard killed Maya's dad. People started handing over my friends.
"Through here," Maya said through her hazmat suit.
There was a breach and the power went off and that turned out everything including the machine that kept the radiation out. They were directing the air scrubbers to level five. Maya came with us because Cage would kill her for helping us.
We walked to the door and opened it and outside the door was Clarke and Octavia.
"Oh, Bellamy," O said hugging me and I wrapped my arms around her but I keep my gaze focused on Clarke.
Jasper and Monty also come through the door.
"I knew it. You two are too scrawny to drill," Octavia said and hugs the other two as well.
"How is everyone at TonDc?" I asked.
"You knew?" O asked.
"Yeah,"
"A lot of casualties but were okay,"
"Where's your army"
"Gone just like yours. Lexa retreated when Mount Weather released her people. Say you have a plan,"
"Not really. We need to talk to Dante. Maya says he's in quarantine,"
"Clarke!" Jasper said and rushes forward, hugging Clarke, and Monty quickly joins in.
----
Clarke, Monty and I were on our way to quarantine while Maya, Jasper, and Octavia went to get Maya a new oxygen tank.
"Hello, Clarke," He said when we walked in.
"Sir, we need your help again," I said.
He looked up at the camera.
"It's okay. I took out the camera from the junction box in the hall. We can talk freely," Monty said.
"No one's watching, anyway. Thanks to you, they're all on level five,"
"You're not," Clarke said.
"No. I'm not,"
"Please. We don't have much time. We need a way to get our people out of this mountain without killing everyone,"
"He's not gonna help us,"
"You cut the power, risking the lives of everyone in this mountain-- my people, even the ones who helped you,"
"We knew they'd be safe on level five. We made sure not to destroy the turbines so you could repair them. We're the good guys here, not you,"
"Tell me, if we released your people and theirs, what would've happened to mine?"
"Can you get us into the command center? We need to see what's happening on level five," I asked Monty
"No problem,"
"Let's go. You're gonna help us, whether you like it or not,"
We walked to the command center and we waited while Monty broke into it.
"The command center is live,"
The monitors show a camera feed from the dorms, where Raven is still being drilled into for bone marrow.
"Oh, my god," Clarke said.
"Is that Raven?" I asked.
Clarke approaches the monitors, scanning the faces of the other Ark prisoners, and she sees her mother among them.
"Mom," She said.
I looked at the screen and I didn't see McKinley and then grabbed one of the radios in the control room, then turns to Dante.
"Tell them to stop. Now,"
"I won't do that,"
Clarke now looks at a video feed of all the mountain men gathered on level five.
"Emerson,"
Clarke moves to take the radio from me.
"Carl Emerson, Mount Weather Security Detail, come in,"
"Who is this?
"You know who it is. Give the radio to the president,"
The screen shows Emerson walking up to Cage. They walked outside the mess hall.
"They're moving,"
"Not a problem. I'll bring it on the main monitor,"
"This is President Wallace,"
"I have your father. If you don't let my people go, I'll kill him,"
"How do I know you have him?"
Clarke held up the radio to Dante.
"Stay the course, Cage,"
"You won't do it,"
"You don't know me very well. This ends now. Release my people,"
"I can't do that. It would mean the end of our people, Clarke,"
Clarke turns on Dante and points her gun at him.
"Clarke, we need him,"
"And I need his son to believe me.
"Don't make me do this,"
Cage considers his options and looks behind him into level five where all of his people are.
"Dad... I'll take care of our people,"
"None of us has a choice here, Clarke," Dante said.
"I didn't want this,"
"Neither did I," I said holding down the button for the radio, making sure Cage hears, Clarke pulls the trigger, killing Dante. He moans in pain, then falls to the floor as Clarke lowers her gun.
"Listen to me very carefully. I will not stop until my people are free. If you don't let them go... I will irradiate level five. Cage, listen to me. I don't want anyone else to die. Stop the drilling, and we can talk. There must be a way to get us all out of this. , sir.
"Emerson is coming for us,"
"They deactivated my key card. Can you do that to his?"
"That one's easy,"
"Where's he going?"
"The dorm. Monty, can you do it? Can you irradiate the level?"
"I can do it,"
"Wait for a second, Clarke. We need to think about this. There are kids in there..."
"I know,"
"And people who helped us,"
"Then please give me a better idea.
We see Cage enter the room and point at Abby and place her on the table.
"What did I do?"
"Clarke, if we do this, there is no going back,"
"Figure it out," She said to Monty.
On one of the screens, we Octavia runs out into the hall with Maya on her heels. The guards approach, but Octavia unsheathes her sword and throws it, hitting one guard square in the stomach. She slides into the second, knocking him to the ground then pulls the sword out of the first and uses it to kill the second. We see that Emerson is right at the door and starts to hit it. On the screen showing the dorm, Lee is seen leading Jasper in.
"We got another one,"
Octavia and Maya enter the mess hall, but so do the guards. They are trapped. Monty continues working on the computers, trying to get them ready to irradiate the level, then suddenly stops.
"Why are you stopping"
"Because I did it. All we have to do... is pull this. Hatches and vents will open, and the scrubbers reverse, pulling in outside air,"
The hall camera shows Emerson preparing to blow open the command center door.
"He's gonna blow the door," I said.
"Clarke, we're out of time," Monty said.
Clarke places her hand on the lever, preparing herself to irradiate level five. She glances at the screen showing the footage from the dorms. Her mother is still being drilled into. Jasper has been locked up with the other prisoners and Octavia and Maya are being overtaken by guards.
"My sister. My responsibility,"
"I have to save them,"
I placed my hand over Clarke's where it is still resting on the lever.
"Together," I said.
Clarke nods, and together we pulled the lever that will irradiate level five, killing every citizen present. It takes seconds before the doctors and the guard and everyone starts coughing and dying.
Jasper rushes from the room leaving the prisoners still in chains. In the command center, Clarke and I watch through the monitors as the citizens of Mount Weather perish in the mess hall. People groan in pain.
"Let's go get our people," Clarke said.
Clarke, Monty and I enter the mess hall to see the destruction we've caused. After surveying the room they approach Jasper, whose crying over Maya's lifeless body.
"What did you do?"
"We had no choice,"
"I was gonna kill Cage. If you'd just given me one more minute, it would've been over,"
"Jasper, they never would've stopped," I said.
"We have to go to dorms,"
We enter to see the Arkers working together to free one another. Kane is helping Abby up off the extraction table.
"Mom,"
Clarke rushes forward and hugs her mother tightly. They both cry.
"I tried. I tried to be the good guy,"
"Maybe there are no good guys,"
Clarke nods, still crying and hug her mother again. Wick lifts Raven into his arms as she is too weak to stand.
"Harper!" Monty yells and hugs her.
Miller helps his father out of his cuffs. They too share a hug. Kane approaches means reunions happen all around them. If only I knew where McKinley was.
"You did well. McKinley would be proud," Kane said as he places a reassuring hand on my should shoulder. Now let's get these people home,"
Yes, sir. But where's McKinley?"
"I don't know,"
---
We finally made it back to Camp Jaha and while everyone else was walking into the camp, I saw Clarke was giving Monty a hug so I walked over to her.
"I think we deserve a drink,"
"Have one for me,"
"Hey. We'll get through this,"
"I'm not going in,"
"Look. If you need forgiveness, I'll give that to you. You're forgiven. Please come inside,"
"Take care of them for me,"
"Clarke.--"
"No. Seeing their faces every day is just gonna remind me of what I did to get them here,"
"What we did. You don't have to do this alone,"
She looked back into the camp. At her people, her mother being tended to.
"I bear it so they don't have to,"
"You don't have to bear it alone. You weren't the only one who pulled the lever, Clarke. We need you,"
"The camp listens to you. Be there for them,"
"No,"
"Clarke, these people, your people are alive cause of you. Please don't go,"
She looked up at me and sighs.
"We still have one that's missing right?"
"Yeah, we do,"

McKinley's POV:
"Kill her," Roan ordered me.
I looked at the girl and saw that she was injured. She looked like she hadn't slept in the day. She had brown hair. She was tall but not that tall. She had no markings on her face. The markings are very special to them.
"She's the one who spied on you,"
I picked up the knife and looked at her.
"Your friends are safe," She said.
"You think that's what's gonna stop me from killing you? You spied on my people. You're the reason why I was taken," I said.
"You're McKinley right?"
I nodded once.
"You know Bellamy?"
"Yes,"
"He saved my life. He was put in the cage next to me. While he was unconscious, he kept muttering about a girl named McKinley. It sounded like he really loves you," She said.
"Don't let her talk to you out of it. She left your people in Mount Weather to die,"
I looked at her feeling enraged.
"You left my people there? He saved your life and in return, you left him there?" I asked.
She started to say something but was cut off when I slit her throat.
Here it's kill or be killed.
"Good girl," Roan said.
I stood there watching her bleed out.
----
"McKinley of Skaikru, we have an offer for you," The Ice Queen said.
"That is?" I asked.
"Roan says you have an affinity for killing people, you show no remorse. You are ruthless,"
"Get to the point. What is the offer?"
"Join us and you'll no longer be treated like a slave. We need someone like you who isn't afraid of getting their hands red. You will be a great asset,"
"Will you leave my people alone? Do you promise not to hurt them?"
"Promise,"
"Yes my queen," I said.

Author's Note.
As you can tell I changed the ending of season 2. I didn't want to write season 3 or 4. I wanted to make the book my story now. Azegeda will still be an enemy to Lexa but there is no Alie, no city of light, no radiation coming, no Lexa death.
