Within that evening, time seemed to pass like a dream.
Marvel soon returned with a courageous face. He immediately made up with Orion and got into translating.
Whenever the night had become deeper, everyone seemed to lay low and drift into their sleep.
Orion and Lyra stayed restless as they found themselves bonding over small things. They laughed and soared with emotions, making up the time they stayed silent with one another.
Emphoria and Eden fell asleep upon the padded bench, wrapped in one another's limbs.
Lyra found herself admiring them. Orion sits next to Lyra upon the floor and against the wall.
They sit across the room on the opposite corner of Emphoria and Eden. Marvel had retreated to his bed upstairs a long time ago.A single candle lit up the room, beside Lyra, just enough to see Orion's face.
Lyra leaned into Orion and whispered,
"Do you think they're an item?""An item?" Orion turned his head, his breath on her face and the other way around.
"You know-" Lyra moved her eyes and tried to explain with only those two words.
Orion took a moment to think about it. He looks towards them, trying to crack this code that Lyra spoke about. Then it clicked as Eden turned her head upon Emphoria's chest.
"Ooh!" Orion turned back to Lyra.
"I believe they are." Orion chuckled. Lyra tried to suppress her laughing. "You're so slow!" Lyra continued to laugh.
Orion just smiled at himself.Lyra died down her laughter.
"Hey, Orion?" Lyra found silence. Orion had started to close his eyes. "Yeah?" He finally responded as he kept his eyes closed.
She took a moment to admire his sleeping form. All of the events that had happened earlier that day seemed so unreal. His emotion towards whomever he spoke about with Marvel. His face had away been so stiff with frustration and irritation. But as she started to talk with him, it seemed to go away.
He now rests before her, his face as soft as ever before. His chest rises and falls gently.
"Nevermind." Lyra bit her lip and placed her eyes upon her lap as her hands intertwined with one another, her eyes growing heavy.
"You surprised me." Orion mumbled. "The way you fought." He rolled his head her way with his eyes opened slightly.
"I thought you said Hallow defeated you many times?" Orion yawned.
Lyra nodded her head. "I grew stronger. I might have failed, yet I got back on my feet. Every time I came back, I knew which way he could come around." Lyra's words slurred."Then you know how to fight." Orion dozed off.
Those words seemed to touch her heart. Her face became warm as the words played through her mind.
"I think so too." Lyra has kept him in mind as her eyes closed. For a split second, he looked like a friend. He acted like a friend.
He never really talked about himself, it would only be subtle. Lyra admired this about him, maybe feeling guilty for saying too much about herself and her love for her kingdom.
There had been a look in his eyes whenever she did talk about EverGlade. The look of pity? Or was it admiration?Lyra fell asleep, canceling out her thoughts.
The darkness of sleep had brought her to a dream. A dream that had started light hearted. Running through the woods casually. Within this dream, suddenly, the thought of being chased grew. She kept running but found herself stuck as a darkness came her way. Lyra stumbled and caught herself as she kept running. Suddenly, everything turned back around her. No matter where she was going. White pale eyes replaced the darkness as blood started to stream from them and form a lake far underneath Lyra. Lyra had been levitating but fell into the blood. The blood started to radiate as Lyra began to drown within the blood. She suffocates as the blood rapidly blinks. She falls to the dark abyss once more, the blood lake no longer present. The dark abyss as an invisible floor as which slams into. A red shard falls down above her and lands in front of her. As Lyra regains strength, she gazes at the shard before her. The shard blinks and floats, becoming a sharp figure Lyra knows too well. The shard became Hallow, standing tall and holding the end of his blade (the tip of the shards form) towards Lyra's neck.
