Rough sprinting leaves the distraught demon on her knees. The rough dirt scrapes her skin on her palms and legs. Lilith exhales in a sob, holding her heart. Her whimpers echoed through the strangely silent forest.

"Lilith.." The knight before her has a moment to catch his breath. They had sprinted at least a miles length.

The demon silenced herself as she inhaled to catch her breath as well. Her mind swells with hurt, the only 'family' she has left now rots within this unfamiliar place.

"We have to keep going-" Hallow insists before Lilith takes back her hand from his. Her nails dig into her palms, forming bloody crescents. "No." Lilith somehow mutters through her flaming tears.

"I-I.." She looks behind her in desperation, hoping that in some way her mother's magic could save her.. bring her back to the daughter she left all alone. Maybe it was karma, Lilith felt. "I've got to go." She gets up, some leaves crumbling at her feet as she shifts her weight.
"Lilith!" Hallow raises his voice towards her as she steps with heavy feet from the place they came from. He follows her until she stops abruptly, her sobs seem to heighten. Her raven black hair frames her face as if falls towards her chest. Her own arms lace her torso, the silent forest gave a truth.
"She's not coming back." Lilith cries. Hallow keeps silent, slightly walking beside her. His silence leaves room for the atmosphere between them, he curses himself for feeling weak at this moment, a strange pang within him.
Lilith finally returns to her knees upon the earth. Hallow looks back thoroughly and exhales lightly.
Hallow keeps his mouth closed, sitting next to her. Heat radiates off of Lilith, making him slightly lean back but not want to make her feel lonely.
Why doesn't he want her to be alone?
Lilith all he has for the time being.

"Leave me." Lilith's voice hums, Hallow flinches towards her voice. A demon could easily knock him away.

Hallow looks behind him, then back towards her. He hadn't said anything towards her to tame the fire that blazes in her eyes.

"I SAID LEAVE!" Lilith's voice distorted and echoed through the forest, shaking the trees around them, making leaves fall upon them. Hallow doesn't move.

Before Hallow could open his mouth, actual flames formed at her palms as she now focused all of her anger upon him.

"No." His voice didn't seem to get Lilith's full attention.

"Lilith, your demon ways don't scare me." Hallow seemed to almost piss her off more. Lilith would have wanted him to be scared, to scare off another person in her life and come back to them practically dead. Her mother crossed her mind once more, adding onto the painful flame that surrounds her.

"O-Kay, maybe just a bit." Hallow chuckled nervously, taking a step back from the heat.

"Lilith-"

"What did I say, elf?" Her eyes blare an eternal flame. "Hallow. My name is Hallow, Lilith." He noticed her slight increase of anger as he tried to remind her of who he is. All of this anger must be making her mind foggy of what's true.

"A-and your name is Lilith." Hallow felt his fear and tired to swallow it. It wells in his chest before continuing.
Lilith turns her head away from his voice that seems to finally be hitting her through the wall of fire and anger.

"A name is something that links us all together... to not make us feel so.."
Hallow pauses and exhales.

"Alone." He finished, her head snaps towards him and a whirlwind of surprise out of him. Lilith stands as tears never seemed to stop pouring from her eyes.
