A whole hearted laugh and a tackle equivalent of a bear, all happened within a split moment as soon as Orion opened the door.
Orion's face lit up as his Orc friend patted his back roughly. Orion laughed along with the Orc.
Lyra had unfocused her thoughts from her problems and focused on the orc.
Pale grey with large tusks from out his jaw. He wears an outfit like a drunken scholar would on a night out in the pub. His clothes almost too small for him yet he manages with them. His eyes are bright blue, spelling kindness all over his face, yet the scars across it tell a different story.
The orc turned to Lyra and Emphoria, glancing at Eden's face.
"White meat. You've brought guests." The orc's smile slightly drew away as he noticed the other's presence.
"Are you the doctor?" Emphoria was impatient, Eden's body became heavier by the second.
He busted out in a laugh, so loud anyone from EverGlade could hear it. Lyra found herself gently holding her ears, Orion doing the same yet smiling slightly.
"Me, a doctor, oh you make me happy little elf." The orc turned back to Orion.
"Well?" Emphoria had been exhausted as she repositioned Eden upon her back and glared right at Orion.
Orion returned the rude gaze and smiled back at his Orc friend.
"Marvel, we need a place to stay." Orion spoke towards the orc.
The Orc glanced towards everyone before dragging in Orion to whisper to him. They withdrew and Orion nodded.
Lyra hesitated as the orc walked inside while Orion jerked his head to signal them inside.
He closed the door behind them.
It wasn't a large house, only big enough for a single orc to live in. There is a mess of papers upon a large desk, wax forming over them from many candles. A couch and a large fireplace with a overhanging cauldron, a big portion for an orc. A whole wall is dedicated for books.
"Place the witch here." The orc patted his large hand upon the couch.
Emphoria placed her gently, only having patience Eden's well being.
"Marvel?" Lyra asked, confirming his name.
The orc turned to her and smiled while nodding his head.
"May I have those papers, dear?" Marvel has been polite. Lyra turned away as he placed his hand outward.
"Marvel will help with translating, you can't read it without him." Orion had leaned against a wooden wall and held his arms against his chest.
Lyra sighed and looked Marvel dead in the eye. It took a moment before unwrapping her grip around the papers and handing them to the orc.
He bowed and placed them upon his desk.
"Stay as long as you like." Marvel glanced towards Emphoria, who had been examining Eden, and spoke towards the rest of them.
"Orion. You promised a doctor." Emphoria stood and gripped her fist in anger.
"She doesn't have much time." Marvel spoke from his view as he looked upon Eden's body.
Lyra's stomach growled suddenly, spreading an embarrassed blush across her face. She laughed pathetically and apologized.
"I'll find one myself." Emphoria stomped towards the door.
"No. The witch will be dead on the spot if you shall speak her name within this kingdom." The orc raised his voice.
Orion hushed the orc slightly as he noticed his volume.
The orc cooled himself as Emphoria stopped and turned to him.
"Why do you care so much? You don't know what she needs. Only I do, you can't stop me from helping my only fucking friend." Emphoria bursted, being louder than the orc had been before. Lyra lowered her head slightly as the tension raised.
"She will die without others to help." Orion chimed in. Lyra bit her lip, why does he have to join in? She mentally cursed Orion out.
"She will die if we continue this dumb fucking race. It's your fault she's hurt." Emphoria pointed and ranted towards Orion.
"My fault? How the fuck is this my fault! You failed at protecting her. No one is safe in this fucking world. She'll die one day wether you like it or not. Maybe it's better she's dead now than later." Orion felt his words spread through the room. Lyra bit harder on her lip as some truth expelled from Orion.
Emphoria charged towards him, shoving him back upon the wall and holding him by the collar. Orion didn't resist, he kept his gaze in contact with hers as she came close to his face.
"Say that one more fucking time. You will never know what Eden means to me." Emphoria threatened him, shoving him again, the wall shook.
Lyra found she drew blood from her lip. It trickled down her lip.
"Witches mean nothing to me." Orion verbally spat in her face. Emphoria grew angrier.
"Stop it!" Lyra shoves Emphoria off of Orion. "Both of you." Lyra stood in between them. Marvel stepped up as well, accompanying Lyra on their separation.
"We are exhausted and tired ," Lyra watched as Orion turned his face away from Emphoria's death glare.
"Don't do anything you will regret just from simple needs. Take it slow." Lyra consoled them. Emphoria stepped away from Marvel and placed herself in front of Eden's completely pale body.
Marvel cleared his throat, trying to cut the tension in the room. "I ran out of food this morning." Marvel frowned.
"I'll visit the market." Orion offered with an attitude and left the house abruptly.
"Follow him." Marvel looked towards Lyra. Lyra grew scared, the possibility of being caught is practically one hundred percent.
Lyra found her feet moving towards the rusty coat rack and grabbing a cloak, placing it around her. She grabbed another one and hands it to Emphoria.
Emphoria took it from Lyra, a slightly smile touched her face before placing the cloak around Eden.
Lyra looked towards Marvel with a confident smile, hoping he'd do the same. He returned it.
Lyra left the home.Marvel stood in place while pondering a plan. "Let's go, dear." He opened the door for her. Emphoria raised her brow.
"I know a doctor."Emphoria didn't say anything in response, her emotions clogging her mouth from speaking.
She picked up Eden, heading out the door with the large orc.The orc closed the door after her and smiled her way.
She hadn't returned it, silently carrying Eden's life upon her back, like she has always done.
