"What did you do!" Lilith got up from her resting place around the fire with others to look toward Orion's form returning to them.
Orion walks up to the fire and sits next to it, warming their bodies. He places Lyra down, her head upon her soft satchel.
As everyone gathered around and examined a slightly pale Lyra, Hallow soon came to their sides.
Strangely, his eyes were filled with worry. Worry for Lyra.
"Answer the demon." Hallow ordered Orion. "Have you killed her? Betrayed her?" Hallow continued his needless worry.
It was Orion's time to be defensive."Calm your royal ass. I didn't betray her." Orion turned his head and gave him a side eye. "Unlike some people." He spoke clearly towards Hallow.
Hallow inhaled, about in a yell.Lilith comes by Hallow's side and wraps her arm around his shoulders.
"Right..." Lilith chimed in, trying to stop Hallow's temper but it almost set him off more.
Hallow grumbled under his breath.
"Don't pick a fight with him, pretty boy, he'll destroy you." Lilith looked him in the eye seriously. Hallow shoves Lilith away and returns to his way deeper in the field, farther from the fire.Orion didn't pay anymore attention to them. As he returned to Lyra, Eden had also been by her side. Emphoria observed.
"Give me your hand." Eden ordered Orion as he sat on his legs next to Lyra.
"The wounded one." Eden was already holding Lyra's newly wrapped palm. The bandage seemed to have been drenched in blood.
Orion listened to Eden for good measure.
"Don't use your magic Eden." Emphoria warned her. Eden nodded her head gently as she took Orion's hand in her's.
"She's fatigued. She caught her hand in my sword." Orion hesitated to tell them.
"Your sword?!" Eden grew worried."I won't explain myself." Orion was too tired to go through in detail why they decided to fight in the woods.
Eden held back her questions but instead spoke calmly.
"I'll trust you... for now." Eden brought Orion's hand to Lyra's now uncovered palm.
"Eden. You can't do that. We haven't tested-"
"Witches work in mysterious ways Emph. These two will get there before us for good reason." Eden smiled, a strange cloud of mystery covering her gaze.
"What?" Orion's voice grew stern. "What are you doing?"Eden paused and gave him a confident grin.
"If I am correct. Your shards are linked by the artifact. This remedy," Eden took a small fragment of something from under her cloak.
"Shall send you both to it. Or Atleast closer to EverGlade."Lyra's body slowly fades away as she placed the fragment upon her neck.
"Wh- Eden!" Orion yelled. "She needs to get better!" He started to panic as Lyra's legs start to fragment away under her sleep.
"The remedy should cure her of her fatigue. I know where you will be. We will catch up with you in a few days."
Eden places some remedy to his hand and shoved it towards him. "Place it on your shard." She ordered.
Orion looks upon her determined features. His mind trails to all the times Eden had saved them and never double crossed them. Eden was always good. She always helped. She has a heart of gold.
"Make Lyra strong for us." Eden smiled brightly. The time Lyra and Eden had met was when she wished for Lyra to know a sword thoroughly. But now, it's happening.
Orion noticed her determination. He moves his clothes around and places the remedy upon his heart.
He falls to his knees as he starts to fade. Lyra is only a head left."Orion!" Lilith yells from across the field from Hallow's location. They must have been talking.
"What's happening?!" Lilith hurries to his side.
"Protect everyone, I'll be seeing you soon." He instructed her.
